God does not need a creator because he IS. This is the crux of it. There is no need for the creator to have a creator.
God does not need to prove himself or that he exists because that would put the proof or logic greater than himself. When he says he is that is all that we need. This is logical.

Okay, I'm on a real word kick this morning (all coming from Merriam-Webster btw. Guess I should source
Logical:capable of reasoning or of using reason in an orderly cogent fashion <a logical thinker>
Nope, missed that one by a long-shot
God made us all?
"That's logical, but back it up a little more."
God made the world?
"Logical also, but keep backing up."
God made the universe?
"Yep. See? Logical."
But what made God?
"STOP BACKING UP! TOO MUCH LOGIC! THE LOGIC STOPS WITH "GOD MADE THE UNIVERSE"! THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER QUESTIONS!"
I almost hope this guy gets himself run over at the nearest zebra crossing.
'Course, seeing as how he's a fundie, I'm guessing the odds of him further polluting the genepool are slim to...okay, they're virtually nonexistent.
When he says he is that is all that we need.
Well, sure. But He hasn't said He is. Some anonymous bronze age Arab goat herder said He is.
God does not need a creator because he IS. This is the crock of shit. There is no need for the creator to have a creator.

Well, I'm writing a book. That make me a Creator. Therefore, I don,t need a Creator.
Hurray for fundie 'logic'!
So by your logic, I am god. You have never seen me and the only proof to you that I exist are some words that claim that I am god and that I exist.
Damn, this circular logic is making me dizzy.
Don't mistake stupidity for Logic...
It's the same kind of logic as:
- I fit in my pants
- My pants fit in my suitcase
- Hence, I fit in my suitcase

Ah. This is obviously some strange usage of the word "logical" that I wasn't previously aware of.
~David D.G.
This guy isn't particularly fundie at all. He's not saying "Christ" or "Allah" or "Jehovah". What he's saying could very well be a deistic argument (now, the quote is taken out of context, so he could very well be a fundie).
So all designers and constructors just pop into being?
That's strange; my husband was created by his father and mother, yet he is a constructor, i.e. a creator.
Him saying that He is, might be all YOU need. We, on the other hand, need tangible evidence, or we'll put him on the Imaginary Friend shelf, right next to Aragorn, The Celestial Teapot and The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
"This is logical."
No, it's not.
It's called special pleading.
Especially as it's your ilk that demands everything down to the most insignificant piece of matter needs an intelligent creator, just to opt your God out of the absolutely necessary rule.
Then you think we should accept this as logic?
The special pleading label has long been applied to you for good reason. Deep into any apologetics argument is the proposition that one "Just accept that God is real".
How can I believe?
Just Do
Why should I believe?
Just do.
Creationist debaters pull out the 'presuppositional argument', that is to say, just believe, without need or logical reasoning , just believe.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
