**Speaking about the Song "Aerials" by System of a Down**

I have enjoyed reading others interpretations of this song. Here is mine. The song is powerful both in music and lyric. It is about how we seek truth but are not willing to commit to the message. System uses much religious symbolism in their music.

The word Aerials means Lion of God - another name for Jesus Christ.

Swimming through the void, We hear the word,- We lose ourselves, but we find it all.

Going though life we are lost in void. We hear the 'Word' - Jesus' is the word of God. When we hear the word we are no longer lost but have purpose.. Purpose is what we seek.

Life is a waterfall,
We drink from the river,
Then we turn around and put up our walls

We receive grace from God.
But deny what feeds us grace.

Aerials, in the sky,
When you lose small mind,
You free your life. -

Another set of lyrics refers to our human weakness.

Cause we are the ones that want to play,
Always want to go,
But you never want to stay,

We are willing to hear the message on surface but we are not as willing to commit to it.
