I guarantee that there is more to this story than you are telling us. What caused this problem? I believe sin effects our DNA which in turn effects our gametes. Our selfishness wreaks havoc on the innocent. That is why God hates it.

Yeah, and how's that work exactly?
Well, that would require every single law of chemistry to be rewritten, but if you believe really hard, who knows?
Secondly, DNA changes, isn't that evolution?
Later in the comments:
'There was this lady who talked to our teenagers at camp one summer, and she used to work at an abortion clinic. She said that there were twin babies that were supposed to be aborted, but when they came out of the womb, they were still alive. The doctor said, "Hold on, i'll take care of it." Then he went and drowned the two babies in a bucket of water'.
Lying for... Oh, for fucks sake.
Hey, It's Supersport!
No, wait...
What you "believe" is irrelevant. Sexual reproduction assures us that no child has to suffer the "sins" of the father. We all started as a single cell, a recipe for building a body. This cell has NONE of the acquired traits of the parents, i.e. if dad lost an arm in an accident the child will not be born with one arm, all other things being equal.
If you truly believe that sin effects your DNA you are a fucking idiot.
For a little bit of context Verandoug is responding to this:
"My wife went on a clinical rotation in a major hospital, during which time she saw an unfortunate 3 year old little boy with a severe neurological condition."
Reminds me of this comment:
"This girl is like a leper so what she needs to do is try and find god ... Most afflictions like this are caused by sins committed while still inside the womb."

I believe that being bitten by a radioactive spider affects Peter Parker's DNA, which in turn affects his strength, speed, agility, senses, and ability to stick to walls.
Heck, it's closer to scientific reality than what you're saying.

More accurately, if you believe in sin at all you are a fucking idiot.

All while buying another 100 dollar toy while some poor guy eats out of a garbage can i'll bet....you fuckwads bitch about people being selfish, but are the absolute last to give or accept programs to help the poor
This actually isn't all that bad - even if the explanation is completely garbage. We tell pregnant women not to smoke, drink, or do drugs and to take lots of folic acid while they're pregnant, because what they ingest while pregnant does have an effect on the developing fetus. It doesn't screw with the DNA, but it does affect the gene expressions of the DNA during development (what type of proteins are coded where and how much of them).
Epigenetics, people. It's crazy.
“I believe sin effects[sic] our DNA which in turn effects[sic] our gametes.”
Wouldn’t one expect, then, that all atheists’ offspring would be stillborn? Or at least everyone worshiping the wrong gods?
And any gays, no matter how deeply in the closet, would be unable to have kids?
One abortion, never get pregnant again?
PAY for an abortion, etc.?
“Our selfishness wreaks havoc on the innocent. That is why God hates it.”
Conversely, if God notices all the Xians who do NOT practice Jesus’ teachings, we’d expect they would lose their fertility.
It makes a lot more sense than giving kids a syndrome because Dad was a dick…
Confused?
