Christians must do more to bring this vile entity down and destroy the myth of it being good for women. Planned Parenthood degrades women and makes millions of dollars on the slaughter of the fruit of the womb. We must get righteously indignant that this is going on and being paid for with our tax dollars. This is not okay! The Catholics have been brave warriors in the fight to bring down Planned Parenthood. They stand in front of those vile clinics with signs and pray. The Evangelicals are not as vocal and visible in this war unfortunately.

While Planned Parenthood degrades women, the undegraded women are in their kitchens, barefoot, illiterate and pregnant, just the way their religious husbands like 'em.

Planned Parenthood cannot use tax money to fund abortion services, and abortion makes up a very tiny percentage of their budget.
But facts and fundies combine like oil and water, so I know I'm wasting my time.
To be fair, Filin De Blanc, the former VP candidate's comment was taken slightly out of context.
He didn't actually mean that rape was justified; what he was trying to argue was that if rape made you pregnant, you should still carry the baby to term because even though it was by force, a baby has still been conceived.
Now, that sounds pretty jerkish IN context, but it wasn't quite what it was made out to be.

Or Christianity which tells women that embryos are more important than they are.
What's more degrading, offering women all sorts of health care including freedom to make their own reproductive choices, or forcing them to become fetus incubators, even if it has health risks to the point of being fatal?

How does it degrade them? By providing health services they could not otherwise receive? I wish I knew where that funding graph for Planned Parenthood was, with only a small portion going towards contraceptives and a tiny amount to abortions.
Catholics, at least those I met, also oppose Death Penalty and have (Or should be) fighting to bring it down. So they aren't exactly your allies either.

It must be nice to live in such a fantasy land. Planned Parenthood cannot use tax dollars to pay for abortions, and abortions only make up a small part of their health services to women. Also, by the Catholics being "brave warriors" do you mean "judgmental, self-righteous hypocrites who harass all women going into the clinic, some of whom are making an already difficult decision and others who aren't even there for anything related to abortion"? That, although more wordy than necessary, would be far more accurate.

The phantom mammogram bit is another piece of misinformation that the anti-abortion crowd has latched onto and repeats endlessly because they are all as dumb as a bag of hammers.
As part of women's health screening Planned Parenthood does mammograms, only they don't own the x-ray machines or have radiologists on staff to read the x-rays either. What they do is what many doctors do, they give the patient a referral to go to a diagnostic imaging center and get the x-rays done there.
The fundies "discovered" this a couple of years ago and started crowing about how... "Planned Parenthood claims that it does mammograms but it doesn't. We have called all their offices locally to make an appointment for a mammogram and they all said that they don't do mammograms!!11!"
In other words it is nothing but a dishonest talking point based on willfully misunderstanding the facts.

It wasn't taken out of context at all. He was still saying he'd force women to have the rapist's baby because a conception is a conception, and he doesn't give a damn what the means of conception was. Nobody ever said he was justifying rape or took it out of context. The true context of that statement is horrible enough on its own.

The only thing you can expose about Planned Parenthood is that it offers reproductive health services, which help women become parents in a safe and planned way. What in this is not good for women, and in what way does it degrade women?
I would be very surprised if the Planned Parenthood turns out any profit at all. By American law, no government funding can go to abortions. If I know that, living on the other side of the Atlantic, how come you don't know that?
By standing in front of the clinics and tormenting people, you are stopping women from receiving maternal health care. Out of hundred attacked women, only three went there for abortion-related reasons, asshole!
Maybe the Evangelicals have researched the issue for themselves, and realized that all scaremongering is false witnessing, and decided to leave the women alone.
