Great minds think alike??? !!! My kitty now has a GIANT water and food bowl. My craft room faces the east so when I am scrapbooking I can watch for Jesus. My husband and sister have cancer so I constantly pray that they will stay well for the Rapture which I feel is closer every second. Some days I get so excited I want to run around the house yelling "Soon, soon, soon, but the neighbors would think I am certifiable. Sure is hard to contain all this joy.

as much as I'd like to sound off I cannot. I hope your husband and sister recover. My husband had cancer and it came back(he's still with me and at his last visit all tests were clean). I suggest you support them instead of running around the house shrieking with unbridled joy thinking the Rapture will cure them.
oh...you folks should not have furry companions.
I'm so sorry about the husband and sister with cancer. Obviously that would contribute to her state of mind and a conviction that Earth is a place that needs to be escaped from quickly. But...
but the neighbors would think I am certifiable.
Think that horse left the barn a long time ago.
If they thought it, it would only be because they would be correct. You madam are batshit crazy just like the rest of your death cult. By the way, they probably already do think you are a nutjob but are polite enough to keep it to themselves.
It would be the saddest thing in the world to do a little "One picture everyday" montage for these people over the course of 20 to 60 years. Having them staring out a window, pining for the apocalypse over the course of decades...a real testament to not only the foolishness of their faith, but to our own mortality and limited lifespan...
My husband and sister have cancer.
That sucks.
My craft room faces the east so when I am scrapbooking I can watch for Jesus.
OK, this is just fucking insane.

Trust me, they know you are out of your fucking mind. To see you running in circles, shrieking at the top of your lungs, would not surprise them in the least.
Gawd, I hope this woman isn't on my scrapbooking forum! I have noticed a lot of people requesting prayers, but so far haven't seen anybody babbling about the Rapture.
If I believed in Jesus, or the Rapture, I would be pissed to think I would be raptured without the cats. Yeah, they're furry little nuisances, but still...!
My husband and sister have cancer .... Sure is hard to contain all this joy.
Sick fucker, probably a Jesuphil
Everyone in RR seems to have lost someone or is about to lose someone. Its like they cling to this idea of the rapture as a coping mechanism, to keep them from dealing with the actual reality of death. If the rapture can take her husband and sister before the cancer can, she won't have to deal with the deaths of two close loved ones.
The scrapbooks will be found after she's been sectioned:
Each page will have a picture of the sun and a date. Every single day will be cataloged [in multiple overlapping blue paper, cut with scallop-edged scissors]. On each the question,'Oh, God, will it be today?' will be drawn in bubble-joint lettering.
One of the many things I don't understand about Rapture believers- I'm assuming this woman's husband and sister are both "saved". Therefore, if they're unfortunate enough to die from the cancer, according to her beliefs they're going to be sitting with Jesus in heaven. Just like they would be if the rapture happened. There's essentially no difference betwen being raptured and dying, except for the method that they get to heaven. She wishes them to live...so they can go to heaven. It's a bit odd isn't it?
My husband and sister have cancer so I constantly pray that they will stay well for the Rapture which I feel is closer every second.
This is yet another example that Christian apocalypticism is really driven by a fear of death, and nothing more.

Typical unmeasured, vague gesture from a fundie utterly unused to rigorous, practical thought. The rapture and associated tribulation are supposed to last seven years! How big a bowl do you need to hold that much cat food? How do you stop it going mouldy and getting infested with vermin and parasites after a couple of months? How do you stop your cat from just gorging on it straight away and then starving to death when it runs out? Did you remember to build a house-sized litterbox too?
Um, the fail would be in her hysterical conversion reaction to extreme stress, and in her attributing her hysterical reaction to the coming Rapture. Anyhow, I feel sorry for her husband and sister.
JESUS SPOTTED, INCOMING, 11 O CLOCK.
False alarm, it's a kite.
You face a certain direction for your Lord and God. Are you Muslim? I assume Mecca is east of you. Do you pray 5 times daily? It's Ramadan. I hope you're fasting. Oh, you're not. My bad. Fundie Xians and fundie Muslims have so much in common, you know.
I agree that Beulah Land seems to be experiencing a hysterical conversion reaction to overwhelming stress, but I wonder what her husband and sister think of her behavior? They've got overwhelming stress of their own without this fruitcake running screaming through the house. Get Beulah to a psychiatrist pronto, before she starts running around screaming with a butcher knife.

THIS. THIS. THIS.
It's kinda disappointing to see what douchebags some of you guys are.
Now, if I was Jesus, I'd quietly sneak into her house from the West, and, as she's staring out the window, I'd pop a balloon or something.
Idiot. I can see you on your deathbed, still saying "soon, soon, soon". Stop wasting your life in pursuit of a pipe dream.
"I am certifiable. "
Got that right.
Like shooting fish in a fish tank. C'mon, you can't hold it in forever, just let it out or you'll burst! Then, the neighbors can have you committed, and maybe, just maybe, you can get the help you need.
Put your faith in science instead, Beulah, it can now cure many different kinds of cancer. Hopefully your husband and sister have gotten medical attention and are now free from their cancer.
Wonder if that joy is still as rampant?
"I am certifiable."
Got that right.
Husband and sister have cancer and she is filled with joy. Sums it up pretty nicely.
One other question, why didn't you just pray that they didn't get cancer in the first place? And who the fuck scrapbooks?
So, six (or five and a half) years later, are your husband and sister still having cancer, or are they free? Or, worse yet, are they dead? If so, maybe you ought to have done more than just prayed?
All this joy? When your husband and sister are battling the Big C? When my husband's cousin was fighting cancer I was not feeling joy, that's for sure. He didn't manage to reach the age of 20, that cousin. I still feel horrible thinking about it. His parents and brother haven't recovered yet. It's a bit more than 10 years ago.
But, you're probably right, for every second it is closer. Only a couple of millennia away now...
Confused?
