Of course you are happy being a catholic now, because as a catholic you can do pretty much whatever you want and just confess it to the preist and everything is OK. However, you will "NOT" be happy being a catholic once you die and have never been saved. In fact, you will regret for all eternity that you were a catholic, because their religion will lead you straight to hell. I do not say that out of a mean spirit at all, I am simply stating the truth.

I'm an atheist now, but as a former Catholic, it bugs the hell out of me when people talk shit about my former religion. I dunno why. I know it's all total malarky, but when Bro. Randy and his clan take a dump on my old religion I get sort of offended. Anyone else feel this way?

So, repentance is not part of your plans. Interesting to know, because it´s not very comforting to know one is not supposed to commit the slightest fault. And I could use the same argument against you, you can do whatever you want, as long as you´re saved, that is, to belong to this tiny do-nothing church in the tiniest spot of the universe whose path to Heaven has not been correctly explained.

ha i was a catholic once. actually, believing that you can do anything and just go to confession is a sin of its own. i love how ignorant they are to catholicism (especially catholicism, although i do realize they are ignorant overall.) and god does state in the bible that he forgives sins, which is what confession is. it's not the priest forgiving, it's god. you're just an ignorant bastard is all. and yes, i know what you're talking about, rockstar.
So all a Catholic has to do is Confess and s/he's forgiven. As opposed to Xianity, where Jesus is your get out of jail free card, and you can be as much of a jackass as you want, so long as you punctuate it with "Praise Jesus."

I used to get pissed that some christians were so fucking stupid. But now its been a while, and I'm finding myself more and more mad at catholics for not having the amount of morons making retarded statements.
They are quite entertaining - and sad to say it, reading the idiocy here makes me feel smarter and better about myself.
