My 31 year old, married, unsaved daughter is finally expecting her first child. Naturally, we are all so excited for her. She and her husband have been married for about 8 years and really want this baby. I believe the Rapture will happen very soon and I am praying that she is saved before this happens. I fear that if the Rapture happens and the baby is gone she will never be saved and only be angry with God ...
Please pray for her salvation BEFORE the Rapture, and BEFORE she loses this precious, baby that she has been wanting for so long.

Why did you put a comma between precious and baby?
If she puts up with your crazy ass she deserves a free pass. What if the baby sins in the womb (which, according to fundies is the cause of birth defects) and only the mother gets saved? One minute your daughter, the next minute a half formed fetus laying on the ground.

Not an unreasonable reaction. Yet fundies seem to think this sort of thing will make people turn to God. They think God is just as stupid and petty as they are.
BTW, according to the Bible, the baby won't disappear. The Bible says "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16); so if the baby hasn't been baptized (and most of the RR fundies probably don't baptize their children, because they're either Baptists or some unaffiliated cult that's essentially Baptist in everything but the name), then it will be left behind with the rest of us.
From what I've read on the extremely fucked-up yet oddly fascinating site of RR, these people seem to believe that babies, whether already born or still inside the womb, will disappear in the rapture. So, basically all babies will be ripped from their mother's wombs at the time of this supposed rapture. And yet they can't understand why people would be angry with God. How do they function on a daily basis with a belief system like this?
Jesus Christ, lady, find something real to worry about. You must be very well taken care of by your husband if this fantasy bullshit is your biggest problem right now. Believe me, the baby will have plenty of time to be born, grow up, have his own family, grow old, and die, barring any accidents or plagues or the like. You aren't going anywhere either, so why not get a hobby?

So your god is going to take all the young children from their mothers without letting them know what's going on? And it won't matter if these are people who've never seen a Bible in their life, because they were unlucky in the russian roulette of religion they will be deprived of their children?

Yeah, when the kid is three and you are babysitting, you'll be sure to tell him how you are going to be raptured, and grandpa will be raptured, and he will be raptured, then you'll tell him how his mommy and daddy are going to die terrible deaths because they aren't saved.
But it will be too late. You'll have blown it. The best thing that ever happened to you will be gone. And (sigh) the rapture still hasn't come.

A transparent doctrinal patch with a shaky theological basis even by Rapturite standards, written for no purpose other than to stop Rapturites from stressing over whether their kids are saved. If you want evidence that the entire movement is based on nothing more solid than wishful thinking, that is it. By any reasonable reading of the Bible, the default state of being is unsaved - original sin anyone? Not "saved then suddenly unsaved at this arbitrary age".

Technically this is not gonna happen... With my limited knowledge on the ''born again'' theology, Teh Rapture (the event where Raptor Jesus, comes to abduct you), will apply only to the saved ones... Since sin is a condition that man is born with, according to christianity, as opposed o Judaism, and salvation comes through ''accepting Jesus ion your heart'' (according to ''born again'' theology), the bay is NOT saved and will stay with his/her mother
