The big sign they are all signing in D.C. for Obama incorpates the Peace sign into the slogan. The peace sign is an upside down cross with broken arms. The "peace" one gets when breaking the arms of an upside down cross is peace of mind to practice withcraft as an initiate. It meant that hundreds of years before it meant simply "peace" in general.

How is it possible for you people to fail so badly, so often?
Wikipedia says you're retarded .
From the article:
"The symbol itself is a combination of the semaphoric signals for the letters "N" and "D," standing for Nuclear Disarmament. In semaphore the letter "N" is formed by a person holding two flags in an upside-down "V," and the letter "D" is formed by holding one flag pointed straight up and the other pointed straight down. These two signals imposed over each other form the shape of the peace symbol. "
what a symbol means hundreds of years ago does not overshadow the current usage unless it is intended that way. a couple of thousand years ago, the T cross was a symbol of torture. now it is a symbol of religious expression (usually intended to show love, compassion etc). if someone erects a cross on their church lawn, you can bet they dont intend it to be taken as a show of favour towards torture.
Since the 1960's, the peace symbol means to symbolise the STEPFOOT of a dove, the same one that Noah sent to see if there was land. Check facts, baby.
Been a while since I've heard this line of bunkem. They must be getting pretty desperate to be going back to the old standards to try to argue their bigotry.
Just you wait, you'll end up liking him despite yourselves. You might even like this whole 'peace' idea if you just let yourselves relax a bit.
Oh, you're utter something, alright.
Go poll your neighbors whether it's okay to fly a swastika because it used to be a Hindu symbol of peace and beauty.

Even if it's true, so what? "God" was derived from a word for a Germanic mound spirit. Does that mean fundies worship a Germanic mound spirit?
The user's name who posted this actually goes by Wordy Trees. Udder biblephile is akin to how much the person posts there. Sort of like "senior member".
I have to wonder about the title biblephile. What does this person commit sexual acts with bibles? *shudders*
Come to think of it, RR is full of them.
"hmmm.... i had understood it as a recycled rune... the one for 'warning' when flipped upside down it meant that warnings were no longer necessary, therefore it meant 'peace'.... but its been a long time since i read cast runes"
Fcuk me they can and do get more stupid...
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
