Yes I think satan is ramping up the promotion of homosexuality and sin in general these days because he knows his time is short. It was the lead topic on the ABC news tonight (gays in the Boy Scouts) and the first thing I thought was why are we hearing about this constantly when, like you said, so few claim to be homosexual? Two of the anchors on "Good Morning America" (ABC/Disney) are gay and many more famous types are claiming to be gay too.
Another thing satan is really ramping up are the psychics on TV talk shows claiming to talk to the dead. I stumbled across something on that the other day on the Ricki Lake show and these psychics are definitely demonically inspired. The audience was dazzled and charmed to no end. It's just a matter of time before they start bringing us messages from their "ascended masters" instead of plain old dead folks.

We're hearing about it constantly, or at least more often, because there is a movement for greater rights for homosexuals. A movement away from bullying and persecution of people who happen to be attracted to the same gender. A movement, in other words, to be more civilized as a society.
It's sad to think there are people like this, people who get all their information about the world from 1, The Bible and 2, Television.

More people are acknowledging that they are gay because they can now do so without being executed or sent to madhouses. And there have always been mediums. Modern media (as well as a foolish tendency among Americans to regard anything they see on TV as reliable) has made these hucksters more efficient. As your bible says, there is nothing new under the sun.

I'll be the first to admit that most people who claim to be psychic are charlatans. However, the occasional rare person comes along who has the gift.
Even the fake ones have more truth to them than your evil 'holy book', however. At least they're not attempting to control the behaviors, thoughts and bodies of everyone they meet.
Promotion of homosexuality? There is no such thing, we are just promoting the acceptance that other people might be different to us. A couple of decades ago they were hearing about women in the workforce constantly. There is very little to gain by claiming to be gay if it's not true. There are still enough people who might dissociate themselves from people who are gay, that there is very little risk of people, who aren't really gay, claiming they are gay. Statistics say that about 10 percent of the population is homosexual. Maybe the percentage increases when populations grow too large... Blame it on the Quiver-full movement.
People claiming to be psychic are definitely greed inspired. The ones who seem fairly genuine are just great observers and questioners, managing to ask a lot of questions without seeming to do so, and then telling you what you have already told them. I don't know about you, but I would take anything I saw on Ricki Lake show with a pound of salt.

Gays don't have to hide who they are anymore because society is beginning to realize that being gay is not wrong and that's why you hear about more coming out. It is you and your ilk that want to deny them their rights and persecute them, and you are upset because society has outgrown your mindset.

I think you'll find they have the same base, some of the biggest wear their Christianity heavy and always call their "powers" a gift from God. If you've perused this site for years you'll see Fundies believe in ALL supernatural claims and incorporate them into their Christianity. Look how fast they locked onto the Mayan calender and pulled it into their end-time belief as evidence.
Again: People who believe in supernatural bullshit (the Bible) will believe in pretty much all supernatural claims.
It's a real short step from the Biblical Prophocey beliefs of Fundies to the phychic circus in America.

These folks lack some of the most basic language skills. Without fail they equate advocating for equal rights for homosexuals with promoting homosexuality, homosexuality with pedophilia, and gun control with taking away all fire arms. I wish they would/could pay better attention to what is actually being proposed.

I have been with my partner now for 14 years and married to him for five (Thank you New Hampshire) and I would imagine that our sex lives is representative of most couples that have been together for that length of time. In short, these folks think about anal sex A LOT more than I ever do.
I think the same sex marriage backlash has more to do with love than sex. They are much more comfortable discussing the differences in the sex lives between same-sex and opposite-sex couples then they are about any potential differences in how much we love and are committed to each other. It destroys their narrative when the media portrays the truth and shows gay men and women in committed, loving, long term relationships.

that not a small portion of the population, as that 34 people in every 1000
there are 313,914,040 people in the US(by the census bureau's count)
so thats (313914040*.034)10,673,077 people that OPENLY identify as LGBT
