So if God appeared to you you would worship him?
[The Greek God Apollo appeared to me in a dream. Does that mean I should regard it as evidence of Apollo's existence and start worshipping him?]
We're talking about reality here bud.

Once you prove that your god is more real than Apollo or any other of the thousands of gods humans have worshipped, you're really in no place to lecture anyone about "reality"
And no, the Bible doesn't count as evidence.
Maybe if that god gave an explaination for all the violent, hateful stuff in the bible and whether you should still follow any of that I would. Otherwise, he'd still be a murderer commanding the extermination of whole peoples. He'd be real, but still not worth worshipping.

Dozens of real, live people have claimed to be God. How many of them has Stephanie worshiped?

Probably not. Some of us just don't have that "worship" mode. I might be afraid of a incredibly powerful entity, thankful, impressed, etc., but I wouldn't want anything to do with one that needed to have its ego stroked.
This one actually, literally made me Laugh Out Loud!
Naked women appear to me in dreams, and I worship them, so to speak.
I had a dream once where I was in complete despair and I fell on my knees at the door of a church, begging for help. I waited a while. Then I looked up at the building and said "there's no cunt there at all, is there?" and walked away.
True story.
If any god appeared to me, i would not be an atheist any more, no.
But depending on the god, i may not worship them, or at least not right away.
Marduk, yes. Tiamat, no. Aphrodite, please!
Quetzacoatl, maybe. Are we still ripping out hearts? I’m not ‘good’ with blood.
I stopped being a Christain before i became an atheist. I still have questions about the whole ‘Hell’ thing. But at least i could get God’s answers, not some self-appointed apologist with poor math skills.
Confused?
