[[ A morality test
Assume that the most attractive girl (or guy.) you've ever seen is chained to a lamp post naked while you're having a stroll late at night. Would you, or wouldn't you have sex with her/him IF:
No one would ever find out
The memory of the incident will be wiped from your and her memory afterwards

I don't really consider this a morality test. Any man with a penis who saw the most attractive girl ever, to their eyes, would shag her (assuming the lack of consequences was made explicitly clear to them) and that's the end of it. A morality test would be something like killing a child or slaughtering a pig, or even exploiting a minority. Human nature dictates that an ordinary person with some sort of libido would go with "Yes" in this instance. I'm not going to lie to myself, though I consider myself as good a person as can reasonably exist, by suggesting otherwise.

Actually, if my memory of the event was wiped away afterward, what was the whole point of raping that woman in the first place? In that case I'd rather free her because she will remember then, and it means good karma for me. Which might net you something better than 15 minutes of gratification.
Another reason why I don't go to TSR. The people over there are scary as hell.
Posts like these make me glad I always carry mace, never get drunk in public and i am always aware of my surroundings...
No. If I make love to a woman, I really want it to be consensual. The idea of non-consensual sex is repulsive, while the idea of a woman desiring to make love to me is a major turn-on. In fact, I find bondage porn a major turnoff and all of my fantasies have always been about women consensually enjoying sex with me.
Probably my first reaction would be "Why is this woman naked and chained to a lamp post?" followed by thoughts of getting her free.

Wiped from my memory afterwards?! Even if it was something I'd do, which seems unlikely, why would I want to do it just to forget?!
Luke, I've got news for you. If your dick does all your thinking for you, you are NOT a good person. That's OK, though, that's perfectly normal in horny adolescents like yourself.

Or even, you know, raping a woman.

Looks like Ray Comfort has a point.
Apparently I have no sort of libido, since the idea of raping someone, even if there is absolutely no chance of negative consequences at all, is abhorrent to me.
I would call the cops. Seriously, if someone is chained up to a lamppost it's time to call the cops, not think about getting your dick wet. What kind of sick fuck would even consider raping a girl you just find chained up to a lamppost?
"I'm not going to lie to myself, though I consider myself as good a person as can reasonably exist..."
No, you're a disgusting piece of filth. Any normal person would free her and protect her from scum like you.
"assuming the lack of consequences was made explicitly clear to them"
" I consider myself as good a person as can reasonably exist"
Same answer as those who say atheists wants to bring moral down:
If all that keeps you from hurting someone is the absence of consequence for your own little person, you are NOT a good person.
Jeez, what is wrong with this guy? Bondage and rape fantasies are one thing, but actually raping someone is messed up. First thing I'd do is ask them why they're tied up and if they need help.
And if that means I have an abnormal libido, then I'm okay with that. I'd rather be a freak then to be immoral.
How hard is it for people to realise that it is a human being they're dealing with?
Surely you should have enough empathy to realise that they're in an incredibly vunerable position and should be helped if they need it, right?
Seriously, you're an idiot if you think that you're a good person while you admit to letting your genitals make the decisions for you in a situation where someone may very well need help.
You think an ordinary person - a good person - would leave somebody chained outdoors? Naked? Then rape them? Then believing that rape is the natural response leave them there to be raped again just because they won't remember?
No.
The moral response is to try and free her then figure out how she got into that situation in the first place because someone has hurt her and put her in a position where she is still in danger. Morality isn't about people finding out about the horrible things you do or evading punishment, it'a about holding yourself accountable to your actions and inaction and knowing if you've hurt others by them.
If there are no witnesses, no memory, nothing to remind... No. Not for all of the hotness in both genders condensed into a single form. I have quite the libido (apparently...), and even knowing I wouldn't remember, Never. And bondage IS a kink for me (and my GF).
If you are only thinking of your personal consequences of your actions with no other considerations, then you have no right calling yourself a good person. Just because there are no negative consequences for you does not mean the action is right.
First thing I'd do is wonder what sadistic asshole chained a naked woman to a light pole, second thing would be calling 911 and getting help. Raping her would have to rank, I don't know, somewhere down below eating cat feces for breakfast on the list of priorities.
But this sounds like some David J. Stewart shit, the idea of "It's not my fault, I saw a beautiful naked woman and couldn't control myself. I don't have a dirty mind, I have a man's mind."
I consider myself as good a person as can reasonably exist, by suggesting otherwise.
You basically just admitted that the only thing keeping you from raping another person is that you fear the consequences of such an action, be they internal or external.
That’s the opposite of a “good person”.
Regardless if a man or woman, I'd put my coat on that person and use my mobile to phone the police and fire brigade, so as when the fire crew cut him/her free with the 'Jaws of Life' and that person is taken away by the police officer(s), they'd help him/her then take a statement from said person left like that so they could investigate the cause of them being left in such a pass, and arrest those responsible. If necessary, they'd take a statement from me as I was the one who found that person.
It's what any human being would do.
'Yes' or 'No' doesn't enter into it.
If you had done anything else other than the above in France - even so much as walking away - you would be in serious trouble, due to that country's 'Good Samaritan' law, which makes it compulsory to help others.
This wouldn't even make it as a question in the BBC Radio 4 series "The Moral Maze ". That is why you FAIL, Luke.
@Doubting Thomas
I get that it's not your thing, but in my experience someone who willingly or even eagerly accepts to get into bondage is demonstrating just as much, if not more, mutual desire for their partner.
Confused?
