All the straight [NFL] players should come out. Announce they’re forming a straight-only league and tell the gay players they can go play in the lingerie league. Though I doubt that would go over too well with the minorities.

Wouldn't go over too well with the minorities, nor, I should think, with much of the majority either.
For some reason you're making a massive mistake there Terry. I don't know why? Possibly you're retarded? Possibly you're just a proud ignoramus? Whatever you're problem is, I'd just like to remind you that because a person is straight, sportsman or otherwise, it doesn't mean that they are automatically deranged or an unthinking fool.
"All the straight NFL players should come out."
They don't have to. That's kind of the point.
"Though I doubt that would go over too well with the minorities."
The miniority? So, what world are you living in? Last time I checked, the majority was in favour of equal rights.
@Firewing:
It's not about the game, it's about the discrimination gay players would still face in a macho environment such as professional football, or even professional sports in general. It's about them being able to kiss their life partners and husbands in and around the team or even in the stadium after winning a game or a championship. It's the same thing for them as it would be for you to kiss the person you love in your office, or other place of work. You may think their profession is silly, but that doesn't mean they have less of a right to be themselves in it.
And of course, by virtue of their protest, this league would be thought of as at least ten times as homosexual as the NFL. Congratulations, closet case.
So you basically want segregation back, only you want to keep out gay people instead of black people this time. Am I hitting the nail on the head here, Mr. Mross?
Yeah, keep dreaming, because it's not going to happen. Besides, football could stand to be a little more diverse.
Can someone explain to me when organized sports became Christian expressions of nobility and morality? I fuckin' missed that somewhere.
Must be the same groups that insist Gay people shouldn't have music careers, oh ok I get it now. No popular medium should ever do anything but shun all of gaydem back to their collective closets. In other words an imaginary world for their imaginary God from the imaginary good old days.
"All the straight [NFL] players should come out. Announce they’re forming a straight-only league"
Yeah. Why don't they...?
WCW. NASL. See how long they lasted against the WWE and USSF.
Sissy football (soccer), eh?:

David Beckham. So wussy and a metrosexual gay icon he is, that he's married to the supermodel-esque Victoria Beckham (nee. Adams) and has four children. [/hyper-sarcasm]
'Manly'? 'Macho '?! Bullshit. David doesn't have to try, to demonstrate being a real man, therefore no amount of posturing, bluster and denial on your part, Terry, will persuade me that you're not a Closet Case yourself.
All the straight [NFL] players should come out.
Because straight people are in the closet about liking the opposite gender now?
Announce they’re forming a straight-only league and tell the gay players they can go play in the lingerie league.
Because all TRUE straight people are homophobic. Are you REALLY straight?
Sorry, but football is, by nature, as gay as two lumberjack bears fucking in the Canadian wilderness. How all the tight pants, ass grabbing, and obsession with non-round balls made it past all the straight men mystifies me.
@UHM
My point is that cretins like Mross tell us it's not important what orientation a player is. Apparently it is if it sends them in such a tizzy.
"ONOEZ!!11 DA GHEYZ R PLAYING ARE GAMEZ!!11 RABBLERABBLERABBLERABBLE!11111!1"
It's just a game. There is no reason at all why being gay should be disqualification for playing (and no, catering to the egos of bigots is not a valid reason).
Confused?
