*Obama orders hospitals to grant same-sex couples visitation rights*

They aren't family. They shouldn't have special privileges. What about the person's real family that might want to see them and not want to be around the so-called "partner"? Does REAL family not have any say-so or any rights? I might want to visit a good frined in the hospital, but if the hospital says relatives only -- and come on, most hospitals don't say that for regular illnesses, just sometimes for major illnesses when lots of visitors would be a burdon on the patient -- then I'm not going to be allowed in. Why are the gays and lesbians whining so much? It's no different. If the policy says relatives only, well, they aren't relatives. Perversion buddies, more like it. It's not as if most of them actually care about or love their "partners" anyway -- most of them have way more than just one.
