[Among millennials] 78% of moms are working outside of the home. 17% dad is the primary breadwinner. 61% the mom is the primary breadwinner. 29% are single moms. Okay, there it is. That’s it. 17% of dads, 61% of moms. Friends, it’s over. It’s over, it’s done. That’s it. That’s the end of it. It’s the end of manhood, it’s the end of men, it’s the end of fatherhood, it’s done, we’ve gone over the cliff. 61% of moms are primary breadwinners, 17% of dads among the millenialls, and 78% of moms are working outside of the home. It’s over. There will be no more mothers and of course there are no more fathers. It’s over. And that’s the way that the average Christian, Christian homeschooler, Christian public schooler, that’s the way they’re raising their kids. They’re raising their kids such that 61% of their daughters will be the primary breadwinners and 17% of their sons will be primary breadwinners. Those are the numbers and that’s the numbers that came out from the Pew Research last week. And this is not going to last another generation friends. This is the last generation. You all understand, this is the last. Our society, our social systems are not going to last for another generation. This is the end of it. When there are no more dads, no more fathers, it’s over.

More life as we know it has changed therefore the world is about to end! bullshit.
I swear, way to make something out of nothing. News flash, you painfully dumb fuck: the economy tanked. It takes two people working to raise a family now. The dynamic has changed because the economy has changed. Nothing more.
Edit: There are variables. Some women just want to work.
This is why public schools work you jackass. Because at your average "loving" Sunday school you teach the young boys and girls the values of manhood vs womanhood and that women are supposed to let men triumph over them. Newsflash, this isn't the 1960's and without strong women to lead the cowering men of today, we would be in a bigger shithole.
While these stats are probably made up, I have to wonder, did not occur to this dumbass that many of these mothers may be "primary breadwinners" because, in 'normal' families (mom/dad/kids), the mom's job may simply be one with better benefits, and, therefore, she works and dad only works part time or is stay at home?
I just got a big promotion, along with a big, fat raise that now puts me WAY ahead of what hubby makes. His response? 'Wahoo! More$$$'
Should I break the news that he's not a father anymore? That he can't read to our daughter or sing her a lulabye? That he can't play my little ponies, or hot wheels with her? He can't fix her a snack / meal, take her to the dr, attend teacher meetings or scare away the boogie man? He'll be crushed!
Oh, wait.... He does not buy into this kind of BS, so he will continue what he has been doing all along. Besides, a man who dresses up for a tea party, feather boa and all, is damn HOT!
Anon-e-moose does this taunting babies thing as well;
That he can't read to our daughter or sing her a lulabye
At least Kitty cuts to the chase with STFU and cry me a river bitch type comments. The "oh how I love to watch you bleed" audience at the guillotine affair. And all those women who wanted to sleep with Luka Magnotta - facebook fans. Groovy, an ice-pick cannibal on youtube.
One of the reason's I suspect Gays [projection theorists should be on the conspiracy pages BTW] are constantly skirting the boundaries of pathology. [ie. sick bastards]
More "inyourfaceism"
Unless straight people clap when we sodomize on your front lawn we are being discriminated against.
Kevin Swanson is right but maybe only peripherally [tangentially] from the reasons he's cited. Families can work when there is something to eat, no matter how the money comes in. Crowding them like rats in a sewer trailer park and then pushing up the cost of living even more is where I think an end has to dawn.
Oh and the sky's-falling-in climate change band wagon wasn't a right wing Fundies' end of world kiss my ass conspiracy. [Its one of yours readers here still want to scare you all with = but they call that fear mongering rational tax justifying scientific consensus]
Citation badly needed.
Even if true, so fucking what?
My girlfriend and I live together and we both work, I make more money than her by a long way because I have a profession and she doesn't, at least until she finishes University, but I don't consider myself to be the "breadwinner" because we are both working, we're both "breadwinners" in that we both earn money to spend on bread.
While I would agree, (but not for the same reasons,) that both parents having to work limits a child's interactions and growth likely stunts their development I will rip your still-beating heart from your ribcage for the insult you've just paid to working mothers and stay-at-home dads.
Anyone else has a problem with those percents NOT adding up? Also, yes, friend YOUR society is ending. So long, and thanks for the fishes.
@gimel:
It doesn't need to add up to 100% because there are other possibilities. 17% of homes, a father is the primary breadwinner, and 61% of homes, a mother is. So in 22% of homes, one of these holds:
* There are two or more breadwinners with none "primary"
* Neither parent is working at present, either due to already having the necessary funds for life (retirement) or being between jobs
* The primary breadwinner is not a parent; might be one of the children or someone connected to the family in some other capacity
* The primary breadwinner is transgender or intersex, and self-identifies as neither a "father" nor a "mother."
That being said, I do think the numbers might be off. The first two possibilities shouldn't add up to 100%, but I would expect them to at least pass 90%. It does smell fishy...
Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that previous generations bled the system to such an extent that it is impossible to raise a family on a single income.
Something tells me Kevin got his pension.
@Phillip-George:
I have a little project for you. Just three steps:
1. Ask a sociologist whether it's harmful to a society for a majority of its breadwinners to be women.
2. Ask a climate scientist whether it's harmful to the environment to pump enormous amounts of pollutants into the atmosphere.
3. Ask yourself why you don't listen the consensus of academics working in these fields.
@everyone who keeps replying to this troll:
I had been avoiding talking to PG13 for a while now, but you all kept feeding the troll. It's annoying. The only way he'll leave is if we ignore him. But I figure, if you are still talking to him, I might as well try too, at least for tonight, because I really believe that environmental sustainability is the greatest threat that we as a people are facing right now, and if I can get even this oaf to change his mind, maybe we aren't doomed after all. Call it an experiment under ideally bad conditions.

Good. I'm sure whatever replaces it will be much better and much more beneficial to (non-fundy) society.
It's official! Bible God's followers are scared of women. The list of foes too mighty for Bible God already contains homosexuals, atheists, scientists and realists. To that list can now be added women.
Imagine an atheist scientist who is a lesbian. Wow! She'd have Him quaking with fear.
Bible God where are you? Show yourself. Come out and play! It's only a woman! Come on, stop hiding!
"Friends, it’s over. It’s over, it’s done. That’s it. That’s the end of it. It’s the end of manhood, it’s the end of men, it’s the end of fatherhood, it’s done,..."
- Okay, so now that you have admitted defeat, are you ready to slip off into obscurity and maybe start doing something constructive with your time?
Didn't think so?

If it weren't for Republican policies making it absolutely necessary for double-income families, then maybe they wouldn't have to be worried about this. But every time someone talks about raising wages or being pro-union, the Repubs go apeshit.
@Meeeeee
Your husband plays My Little Pony with your daughter? Kick ass. That's a real man. If I was over where she's at I would do that for my niece and nephew.
Family participation no matter the gender of any side of it is very nice. Like yesterday at the theater watching Equestria Girls, a five-person family was behind me, including a young boy who was a fan, and the dad.
Good times.
@PG13:
Wow. Way to listen to what I was actually saying . So because plants take in carbon dioxide, the entire scientific consensus on global warming is wrong? Fascinating.
Or maybe it's just bullshit. Humans need water too, yet if we take in too much we can drown. Same principle.
I am just amazed at your hubris. Without bothering to actually study the science you are able to cavalierly dismiss the consensus of almost every living climate scientist in one fell swoop. Your balls must be the size of Jupiter! That or you're a moron.
Does Swanson think that working will sterilize women, or what the hell is he saying?
"It’s the end of manhood, it’s the end of men, it’s the end of fatherhood, it’s done, we’ve gone over the cliff."
*looks into his pants* I don't know about you Kevin, but I still have a penis.
"When there are no more dads, no more fathers, it’s over."
Sure, sure, because only a man that is the boss can get a hard-on. Oh wait, that's just you.
Only the religious could worry about gender equality being prevalent.
Not going to lie, l wouldn't mind being a stay-at-home dad at all. Except I'd have to worry about a working wife being shunned by religious zealots.
Ah, the world that we live in...
My wife has always made more money than I did, and I was still able to become a father. In fact, I was the primary caregiver to our son, who is now 27 and doing quite well, thank you very much. Sorry your ego, potency and fertility is so tied up in making more money than your wife (assuming you've managed to find one).
Just imagine that you, dear reader, were a Christian pastor and came across these figures, assuming they are genuine. What would your reaction be? 1) Bewail the "end" of fatherhood and of manhood and criticize mothers for daring to earn money to keep their families together; or 2) Encourage fathers to be faithful and attentive to their wives and children, support and encourage them whatever the difficulties? I suppose if you're a fundie, the answer's going to be 1).
So women are working. Working mothers exist. And yes, there are many families where the mother is the primary breadwinner.
And this is a sign of the end times because...?
...
... No answer? That's what I thought. I bet you just made those statistics up as well.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
