Atheism is about selfishness. That's all. It's a religious doctrine of how to take and never give. Simple as that.
Atheists are the lowest of society throughout history period.

Fundie Assumption Number 433:
"It Is Not Possible For A Human Being To Have A Moral Code That Is Not Imposed On Them By An Outside, Supernatural Force."
Most religions are equally about selfishness, in that their methods of inducing converts to adhere to their tenets are invariably dependent on that person's fear of punishment and desire for reward after death. Atheism offers no such eternal rewards/punishments, the only incentive to do good is that of living in a society that is slightly better for all the good you do for it. Granted, that could be called selfish too, but no more so than the methods of the devout, and with the added bonus that the incentive is directly coupled to the wellbeing of others. Conversely, a supposed god's reward or punishment depends only on the attributed whim of that god, and that does not automatically have any relation to the wellbeing of the rest of society - indeed, an awful lot of man's gods seem to single out subsets of society for hardship, torture and death.
Taking the above as a whole, then, atheistic morality is more logically robust, simpler to derive and more likely to actually improve humanity's lot, even if the driving force is selfishness when boiled right down.
"Christianity has such a contemptible opinion of human nature that it does not believe a man can tell the truth unless frightened by a belief in God. No lower opinion of the human race has ever been expressed."

Tell me, then, why I do my best to go out of my way and help people as much as I can. And why I do my best to give anyone a chance, and usually a second and third chance to prove themselves in my eyes, as opposed to condemning them for arbitrary reasons. Hmmmm?
atheism isn't a religion. The only thing required to be an atheist is that you answer "no" to the question "do you believe in god(s)".
Ayn Rand doesn't speak for all atheists. Please don't take her nutty libertarianism as representative of all atheists. Thanks.

No, that's Satanism, and even Satanism has some commandments about not harming others IIRC. Loose commandments, but they're there AFAIK.

RELIABLE SOURCES OR GTFO.
Atheism comes from Greek a(which means no) and theos(which means God). It's a philosophical position of the guys who think that there is no God. Why is it so difficult for you?, and if you are so sure, how do you explain guys like Bill Gates, who has a phillantropic society?
No, we give, we just keep quiet about it. That's a tradition that came out of the Bible, so I would have thought you'd know something about it.
Oh, wait, that's right. You've never read it.

Why are atheists worse than Hindus, Muslims and Jews?
Surely, since we all deny your religion we are all just as bad as each other.
Hindus actively disbelieve in your god- yet they're considered better than atheists just because they believe in something- even though that something is, by Christian definition, wrong.
This logic makes no sense to me.
@anti-nonsense: indeed, atheism is just one of many traces you may use to analyze a religion/dogma.
Atheist dogmas/world-views include secular humanism, LaVeyan satanism and Communism.
Atheism -> monotheism -> polytheism -> pantheism
So, atheist are the lowest... in number of gods...
