There's no reason not to be a sociopath.
Everyone is a narcissist. And everyone is selectively graceful, and not generally to anyone who approaches. Everyone would prioritize their own grandness over community. Being communal in most people's mind is just a necessity to stay inculpable and to avoid society's wrath.

Well YOU are a sociopath and nothing proves it better than this drivel. You`re literally projecting your vile nature over the rest of our species. I`d refute you but honstly, no point, you are simply unable to grasp the concept of an empathic behaviour for it`s own sake or the love of one`s species driving them to help others. You`re a cold, little dead fish. And you`re all alone.
Spoken like a true sociopath. Aside from that, what Skide said.
Seriously, argueing with someone who flaunts their sociopathy is pointless. Evil cannot comprehend good and all that...
I actually sat and thought about this one. And he's partially right that many people are 'communal' because society will punish them otherwise. But that usually applies to crimes that don't directly hurt people. Speeding on the Thruway, for example. Why do we not speed? Most people avoid it because they don't want a ticket, not because it's for the greater good. I know I'd do 100 regularly if not for police.
But the kind of things these people are usually talking about? I don't need a law to tell me not to rape or murder.
“There's no reason not to be a sociopath.”
Pretty sure no one’s a sociopath by choice. a -path is a pathology, a disease.
If you think you could become a sociopath, you probably already are.
“Everyone is a narcissist.”
Pretty sure if you’re a narcissist, that’s how you’d diagnose anyone else with a priority other than you.
“And everyone is selectively graceful, and not generally to anyone who approaches.”
Uh, no. I’ve met people who are open to anyone approaching them. People tend to call such a person a ‘saint.’
“Everyone would prioritize their own grandness over community.”
Yes, that’s why no one ever sacrifices themselves for another human being, be it in war, disaster, sports, academia, or any other human endeavor.
“Being communal in most people's mind is just a necessity to stay inculpable and to avoid society's wrath.”
You step on your own dick, here. Why would society be wrathful about narcissists if everyone is a narcissist? Why would a community of narcissists expect communal behavior? You’ve disproven your own hypothesis.
Confused?
