Not everything is somehow related to a religion, and people exist who DO NOT BELIEVE in religion. Just because you cannot fathom that someone doesn't believe in a religion or a deity doesn't mean it's not possible. Please, please learn this.
"Science is a religion of people who call themselves 'scientists'"
Science is not a religion, you dolt. Science is investigation by way of the scientific method. Religion is belief in unreasonable things because it makes you feel better.
"sounds like something else (satanist)....."
If you have to tell us what it sounds like, it must not sound very much like that.
Scientist is independent of religion. Both can exist (religious scientists).
Yes, scientists who are passionate about their work do exist, some of whom would call it a kind of 'religion', but they aren't mutually exclusive. Science and religion have different definitions. When will you get this?
What's ironic is that fundamentalists insist that they are not part of a "religion" but that Christianity is all about a "personal relationship". This, of course, is a concerted effort by fundie CHURCHES (which are a hallmark of religions) to distance themselves from that nasty term "religion", which in modern culture has pretty much nothing but negative connotations.
Thus, the desire to class "science" or specifically "evolution" as a religion - because if they connect religion=bad to evolution, then automatically evolution=bad or even science=bad.
Oh, will you people please grow up! Science seeks only knowledge and understanding of the natural world/universe. They do not espouse any form of doctrine regarding morality (although they do follow very strong ethical codes). They also do not and never have made any attempt to destroy God. They do seek to find what God made. The fact that they have systematically taken apart everything "scientific" in your little black book should tell you that the material contained therein is not in any way scientific, and that any claims it makes to scientific truth are erroneous.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
