When I see these polls of Obama beating all these Repubs, you can tell the fix is in. I honestly do not know one person that cares for the guy, there is no possible way in a fair, non corrupt election that Obama would beat anybody in the GOP field, no matter how sorry they are. The media is playing a psychological game with the public, you cannot convince me that that many people would vote for a guy that is intentionally killing our economy.

No, you wouldn't, would you?
If only the argument from personal experience were enough to make judgements and inferences about the world. Alas, it is not so.
I am not even American and I feel for the crap Obama has had to put up with. He tried to be all nice and work with both sides and got blocked by the Republicans and then called out on being useless by the Democrats. Every time he tried to help he gets blocked or his own party doesn't have the balls to back him up. And then after all that the Republican supporters are yelling about him failing to do anything when it was a lot of their side that was stopping him.
He might not be the greatest President and he isn't without blame but with what is on the other side I worry about my American friends and what they might have to deal with.
Newsflash: Obama is going to win, fair and square. There is no other feasible outcome, barring something drastic like Ron Paul turning out to be Jesus all along. The numbers simply don't support a Republican victory, even WITH an acceptable candidate, of which there are none.
After his reelection, you all will screech and holler about the end of the world as we know it. But after the economy improves, as is expected by 2013 at the latest...? What will you have to say for yourselves?
Well that's because you spend all your time in an echo chamber of people who agree with you. I honestly cannot imagine that anybody thinks that Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann is the best person for the presidency, but lo and behold, they apparently exist. And please, provide some evidence that Obama is "intentionally" killing our economy.
"Holy shit it turns out that people I'm friends with mostly agree with me!"
How "people I know" becomes "absolutely everyone in the USA" is a bit of a mystery, though.
Hopefully soon the politics of America will get so absolutely ridiculous ("dont vote for that guy because he killed Batman's parents, whereas I am actually Jesus"), that even the Tea Party will get so jaded by the whole process they'll base their votes solely on sensible, rational, demonstrable facts about candidates.
Presidential candidates only have to pull a relatively small number of swing voters to win an election. Most people who turn up tend to vote for a party regardless of who is nominated, so this bullshit about a tidal wave of opposition against Obama has little merit. Who are disgruntled liberals going to vote for, Rick Perry?
Most of the people I know will vote for Obama again and think the GOP is a three ring circus of unqualified Bible beaters. Amazing how the friends you choose tend to have interests and opinions that correlate closely with your own, right?
Back in 2004, I was flabbergasted that anyone in the USA would willingly vote for someone who lied to the people of his nation to start a war that no one wanted or needed, while he was busy pissing all over environmental protection treaties and the middle class. But, surprise surprise, my personal opinion is not relevant to reality. I would really like it if more people realised the same thing.

This. As can be inferred I was no fan of Bush Jr yet still disgusted by the vitriol thrown at him, but the bullshit that Obama has had to endure is phenomenal. I don't even know whether it's typical opportunistic politicians or typical delusional fundies or typical human stupidity in general, but it's fascinating to watch in any case.
Maybe it's because most people realize the economy was killed by the previous White House tenant. You know, starting two was which costs us millions of dollars each day with no end in sight?
I honestly do not know one person that cares for the guy
When you surround yourself with fellow teabaggers, of course you're not going to hear anything positive about him. Try going out and talking to real people.
I'd vote for a moderate Republican that respects the laws like Roe v. Wade and the march of progress with Gay rights. But they currently do not exist.
Looks a lot like I'm voting for Obama since the Republicans can only seem to pimp out Tea-baggers, random lunatics and have the hots for Chris Christy, who has said almost nothing on any important issue.. ever.
I simply can't take these types of people seriously. They were either totally silent, or cheering incessantly for Bush's 2 wars and Medicare part D, wasteful spending that directly contributed to our current economic crisis....and now they accuse Obama of "intentionally killing our economy"?
It's like these people live in a different reality than the rest of us. Sad.
You're full of shit, Trollsayer. There was a public civil rights rally which Obama, still a candidate, showed up for; and so - independently - did a few of the "New Black Panthers" weirdos. Try getting your information from somewhere other than Breitbart's toilet paper.
You idiot. A 10-second Google search turns up all the evidence anyone would need. This is not rocket science. Problem is, your only source is the wingnut echo chamber, where facts are few and far between, and context is nonexistent. This shouldn't have to be explained to you. But you and your fellow ignorant fuckheads demonstrate every day that all you're after is a good conspiracy theory that lets you hate who you want to hate. Now piss off; you deserve no further time or attention.
"...you cannot convince me that that many people would vote for a guy that is intentionally killing our economy."
Unfortunately, you're wrong, and the fact that the GOP controls congress proves it.
What's so hard to understand about the 2008 presidential election? GW Bush all but destroyed the economy and we were mired in two wars with apparently no end. Obama came along promising change, and many people voted for him because of the novelty of having a black president. McCain, on the other hand, had absolutely nothing to offer except weak promises that he wasn't really just like Bush while his bimbo running mate certainly didn't inspire confidence in his campaign.
I'm sure the next election won't be the landslide it was in 2008, but with the current candidates the Republicans have to offer, I'm guessing that Obama will get a second term.
@Lucilius
Hah, and the pundits tell us the right wing isn't racist. Suuuuure, it's not racist, it's just the place where all the racists are.
Calling Obama an ape? It's been a while since I've heard bigotry on that level of hypocrisy. Hey, self-appointed "Truthsayer", you complain about liberals never learning, but when will you uneducated fucktards learn that ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE APES, and calling someone that just highlights how fucking retarded you are!! It's like the pot calling the other pot a pot! It makes no fucking sense, you bumfuck bigot!!
We're not going to have a non-corrupt election unless the Swiss come over an run it for us.
We're also going to have one of the lowest voter turnouts (by % of population)in the past century, due to Republicans busily trying to keep people from voting and a large segment of the potential voters just being too bummed out by the whole thing to put in the effort to go vote.
@J. James: Indeed. Teh Stoopid is strong with the troll - he claims to be presenting information, thoroughly debunked bullshit though it might be; but he can't keep himself from spewing racial epithets, not at me, but at Obama. Just goes to show that his affected tone at the beginning was just a pose.
Truthsayer: "Obama with the Black Panthers before becoming HNIC."
Truthsayer 9 hours later: "Why are you resorting to name calling? I didn't even say the "N" word and yet you're being disrespectful to ME."
And just what does HNIC stand for? Hmm?
Troll: "I used to support that ape but now I know the truth."
I'm dying to know what truth you discovered about Obama that changed your mind. However, I don't believe for an instant that someone who is so blatantly racist ever supported a non-white candidate for anything.
Ok, I'm not American, but even I know that if a member of this crazy GOP party gets to be president, America is well and truly fucked.
Isn't that reason enough to vote for Obama?
Who, if I'm not mistaken, has been left with the ruins of the Bush administration.
Look AP guy, Obama won even with the whole nearly stolen election program. You fail to account that Hoover had the same idea that you morons placed out there and guess what. HE FAILED!! That's right. Failed.
Listen people of the forum, if the Rep voted for someone who cared for the people and not sucking rich cock...that would be communist. Also speaking to the racist troll, blacks are humans too just like you and me.
Confused?
