If you mean this to be a 'do unto others' reference, Atheists DO wish that they were treated half as good as religions. We don't get fancy holidays, tax-write offs, time off from work or any of that. We just want to be given the same respect that you expect. If you think you guys are persecuted over 'merry x-mas', try telling someone that you are an atheist. You want dirty looks, sneers and pity, that's your route. I would be perfectly happy never having to discuss religion or the lack thereof EVER unless I wanted to, but that's not how it works in America.
