A surprising percentage of people who support euthanasia have a long list of people they think should not be kept alive. The consciousness of most vocal supporters of euthanasia can be compared with that of the supporters of Nazism.
When one persists in disputing with them they often "get nasty" and show their true colours.
They want to kill people they don't like.

"A surprising percentage?"
"A long list of people?"
That's pretty vague.
I support consentual, well-informed euthanasia. I think it's silly to keep brain-dead bodies alive, but I'm not trying to force my opinion on anyone else.
And, yes, sometimes I feel as though I want to kill some people I don't like. So what? It is not illegal nor immoral to feel that way.
If someone wants to end it, make sure that's what they really want. If yes, let them: its usually to put an end to agonizing from whatever treatments are forced upon them so they'll stay alive somewhat longer while terminally ill...
Nothing wrong with someone being allowed to do something to their OWN body if its an informed decision.
A surprising number of anti-euthanesia and anti-abortion fundies are also pro-war, pro-death-penalty, pro-'cleansing'... So its ok if the guy annoyed the priest, wanted to pay for college, or if its guaranteed to be slow and pain-filled, but not if you didn't know him or if he made the decision rather than have it made for him? What gives?

There wouldn't even be a debate if medical science wasn't so damn good at keeping your body alive after your brain has already packed it in.
So when these morons bring God into the equation and claim we're violating his will by pulling the plug on some poor person, they're forgetting we violated God's will by giving them the medical treatment that kept them alive in the first place.
he's completely right. i've made plans to turn everysingle person i hate into a brain dead vegetable, so that they can be euthanized. its such a brilliant plan i doubt the christian right will catch on...unless this man's brilliant message is spread!!! he's now first on my list. victory will be mine!!
One thing I'd like to add - in Australia, assisted suicide is already legal in the form of self-starvation.
Unfortunately, that is far from an optimal situation, and many people are starved against their will (I'm not referring to Schiavo here).
Then there's the Brendan Nelson argument ("I have euthanized patients before, and I was right to do so, but I oppose legalization because I feel that individual doctors should regulate the practice.") What arrogant paternalism!
Has he been charged, investigated or jailed? No! Not even close!
<<< A surprising percentage of people who support euthanasia have a long list of people they think should not be kept alive. >>>
... IF, and ONLY if, those people do not wish to endure a terminal illness anymore. No one is suggesting that we say to a cancer patient, "We could treat you and keep you alive for an extra six months, but it would be total agony for you, so we're going to just put you to sleep now." What we are suggesting is saying, "This treatment will give you about six months to live. It will be painful, though. Do you want it, or would you prefer to end it now?"
<<< They want to kill people they don't like. >>>
Nope. The whole point of euthanasia is that the person should have the right to decide whether it's worth fighting a terminal illness to get an extra six months of living in agony or not. Nothing about executions of random people we don't like.
Honorable mention? I think he deserves a fully-blown award. He did say that the "most vocal supporters of euthanasia can be compared with that of the supporters of Nazism", which is definitely a Godwin.
The most "extreme" voluntary euthanasia supporters like Phillip Nitschke do NOT want to kill people against their will, whereas the Nazis did .
"A surprising percentage of people who support fundamentalism have a long list of people they think should not be kept alive. The consciousness of most vocal supporters of fundamentalism can be compared with that of the supporters of Nazism.
When one persists in disputing with fundamentalists, they often "get nasty" and show their true colours.
They want to kill people they don't like."
I know this cut and paste approach to responding is immature, but it does work.

And what is this percent? And sources, please.
"Getting nasty" sounds kinky.
Would one go so far as to say fucking kinky? *Dodges rocks*
You are in idiot. Obviously you have never seen someone you love suffer and degrade slowly dying from Cancer. We put out animals to sleep because their suffering and dying in pain, but let's let our loved one's scream in agony from pain and beg us to help them and not be able to do anything. Fuck you.
I have euthanized my pets because they were in terminal pain and would have suffered needlessly. If granny wanted to be euthanized because at 90 she's lived a full long life and has a painfully incurable disease...she should be allowed to go to sleep and not wake up. I suppose Newton's Cat would prefer to watch granny suffer and die a painfully slow death for several years. So much for compassion, fucktard.
Confused?
