Atheists also don't get into medicine as much cause there philosophy doesn't call them to serve others, only themselves. With the lawsuits the docters don't rake in the bux anymore. Athiests don't like that and drop out. That's why heathen countries are looking for nurses and doctors all the time.

Funny, I know quite a few atheists going into med school. Moderate Christians, too. Fundies, on the other hand, typically either lack the scientific background to be a successful doctor or think any medicine besides prayer is witchcraft. (On second thought, the first is almost universal among fundies, including those in the second group.)
"Atheists also don't get into medicine as much cause there philosophy doesn't call them to serve others, only themselves."
You don't speak for atheists. The only characteristic which defines atheists is their non-belief in a deity. Other than that, each atheist may or may not share other philosophies as s/he sees fit.
Altruism is not solely the domain of the religious.
"With the lawsuits the docters don't rake in the bux anymore. Athiests don't like that and drop out."
Credible source citation, please. No, your butt is not a credible source of information.
"That's why heathen countries are looking for nurses and doctors all the time."
So, as the countries of western Europe become less and less religious, the are having to recruit more and more doctors and nurses from abroad?
You're an idiot.
First sentence: Outright bullshit. There is no atheist "philosophy", other than a disbelief in gawd.
Second sentence: Also bullshit. Doctors make huge "bux", on average.
Third sentence: More manure. Check the actual stats for religious belief among physicians. You may be shocked.
Fourth sentence: Yes, the United States and Canada and much of Europe are facing shortages of health care professionals.
You would be well advised to remove your head from your arse and actually study factual data. The stuff you're findin up your arse is still manure.
Well, let me tell you that some of the most enlighted doctors I know are accused of atheism. And something else, do Christian take philosophy or English Literature?, because your spelling is horrible. Besides, if atheist are so selfish according to you, why bother joining agnostic and Christians on your hated ACLU?. Probable alternative bizarro universe.
"... don't get into medicine as much ..."
Medicine. As in more than doctors and nurses, we're talking of every manner of tech from x-ray to lab; and of pharmacists, chiropractors, osteopaths, and etc. Just chuck full O'Athiests, eh. I'd certainly like for Mr. Jessmakingthisup to cite his source(s).
Well, it is my understanding that the rise of professional insurance rates because of a rise of lawsuits (or at least a fear of said rise) makes some branches of medecine (surgery, for example) less lucrative, and less appealing for medical students (years of studying to see most of your earnings go into insurance and/or lawsuits isn't all that motivating...), but trying to link it with atheism is plain fucktarded.
Well Artie - hate to tell you this, but there's a shortage of medical staff because in developed or as you say, "heathen" countries, growth in the medical sector is far outstripping any other industry.
* People are living a lot longer.
* People are living a lot more unhealthily.
* A lot more things are treatable due to fastastic SCIENTIFIC and heathen medical research, so what was once fatal now is not.
* Specialists take 10-15 years to train, 25 if you include school.
* An ageing population requires an disproportionate percentage of youth to to maintain the same ratio of medical professionals to those requiring treatment, yet the majority of people are unsuitably mediocre and lack the aptitude required.
* Expenses are actually rising meaning public health systems and government budgets stymie growth at a necessary rate.
"Heathen" ie; Persecuted, countrys are looking for doctors and nurses because their own were killed in the attacks and bombardments.
Most of the doctors I have met ARE atheists, ,,, In fact the charity social justice group,"doctors without borders
" is primarily made up of ATHEISTS,, who have chosen to volunteer their time and skills to help the "heathen" have medical care,
Most atheists are DEEPLY involved in social justice work, And volunteer long hours at great personal expense,
Atheists also don't get into medicine as much...
*BZT* Sorry, you're wrong! That's gonna hurt your final score!
...cause there philosophy...
*BZT* Wrong again! In addition to saying "there" when you should have said "their," you imply that all atheists share a common philosophy. This is not true; the only thing atheists share in common is a lack of belief in gods.
...doesn't call them to serve others...
*BZT* Sorry, today just isn't your day.
Christians believe that a magic sky god is watching over and protecting everyone, and will give them the help they need. Atheists believe that people don't have a magic guardian and provider, so we need to actually get up and help people rather than asking a magic sky god to help them. As they say, two hands working can do infinitely more than a million hands clasped in prayer.
...only themselves.
*BZT* Oopsie, another incorrect answer. Bill Gates is an atheist who recently donated something along the lines of $30 billion to charity.
With the lawsuits the docters don't rake in the bux anymore.
*BZT* You're not doing too well here. This is wrong too. Doctors still make a lot of money.
Athiests don't like that and drop out.
*BZT* Sorry again! Many doctors are atheists. Many work for little money helping people who can't pay.
Keep in mind, you're making a statement about a large group of individuals who share nearly nothing in common. Ordinary common sense would tell you that any sweeping generalization you make about that group would be wrong.
That's why heathen countries are looking for nurses and doctors all the time.
*BZT* Sorry. You're still wrong.
"Heathen" countries are often looking for doctors, for several reasons.
*Heathen, atheistic science allows people to live longer. Old people require much more medical care than younger people, and most of them can't be doctors themselves due to gradual loss of cognitive abilities.
*Heathen, atheistic science has produced cures for many previously-fatal diseases. Because of heathen atheistic science, a person with a severe infection requires a doctor's attention; before heathen atheistic science, they were considered a hopeless case and simply left to die. The need for medical care has increased because people who would previously have been considered terminal are now able to survive with a doctor's care.
*Good Christian idiots like you are busy trying to stop research into better cures and treatments because of your religious superstitions, and even asking people to consider wishing they were better as a valid alternative to treatment.
*Good Christian idiots like you and/or other religious groups starting and fighting wars like the one in Iraq which cause additional injuries that require doctors' attention.
*Some doctors, be they atheists or theists, actually go into poor countries and provide medical care to poor people.
*Don't forget that doctors need to go through as much as 15 years of training, some people don't have the mental capabilities necessary to master the skills involved, and don't forget that members of a certain unnamed religious majority believe that kneeling down, clasping your hands, and wishing you were better is an effective cure.
So, Artie Jessup, it seems that your score is an absolute zero. Not only did you fail to win, you failed to even get on the board. However, we do have this lovely consolation prize of one cup of fresh, tasty, piping hot shut the fuck up.

Do you know what is sick? The fact that when someone is given a small chance of survival, and the doctors work their hardest and best to help, and the person lives....and then people say it's a miracle. No. It is not a miracle. It's the doctors doing their jobs. It wasn't God or Jesus. It was just people.
You just made that up, didn't you?
BTW, I'd say that the more one learns about the human body and the myriad things that can go wrong with it, the less one would be inclined to believe in Intelligent Design.
Confused?
