I have always wondered why atheists are so afraid of God. Is it because they do believe in him and know they will pay the price when they meet him?

Of course Xan, belly laughing, mocking, blowing raspberries and questioning someones very existance are common and well documented responses to mortal terror.
This is why people routinely mock and belittle Hells Angels, Bouncers, Gang Members, SWAT teams and other scary motherfuckers to their faces when they're scared shitless of them!
I am also terrified of the monster under my bed, petrified by the Stork that delivers babys, wet my pants at the mere mention of the Boogyman, and am scared shitless by the invisible dragon that lives in your garage.
I wonder why is Xantrawler is so afraid of the English language that he is unable to understands the meanings of simple words like atheist? Oh, I see he is posting on Free Conservatives, then there's my answer, I need wonder no more.
" Is it because they do believe in him and know they will pay the price when they meet him?"
If this were true, then it would suggest they also believe that your Christian religion is ineffective and false. Christianity offers the big "Get out of Hell Free" card - just say a few prayers, "accept Jesus into your heart" and you're fine. Doesn't matter if you're a run of the mill sinner or a serial axe murderer, it all works the same. You don't even have to do anything specific afterward... you don't even really have to give up all your sins, because Jesus covers all your sins, past and future. Just ask Ted Haggard and Jimmy Swaggart if you don't think so.
So if atheists are afraid of "paying the price" when they meet God, why wouldn't they simply become Christians?
Yes I am afraid of God and gremlins, wizards, unicorns and other such things that I don't believe in. No that absolutely isn't a logically impossible thing.
WHAT? HOW? WHY? I...How the hell... My brain just had a hernia trying to understand this logic.
I have no fear of God. I say if God exists, he would be the true source of spreading evil among mankind, and is only using his underling, Satan, as a scapegoat.
And I'll publicly challenge him to strike me down right now for saying it. I would rather burn for eternity than share it with the likes of Him.
"I have always wondered why atheists are so afraid of God."
For the same reason I shudder in fear of leprechauns and cower under the covers at the thought of the Easter Bunny.
"Is it because they do believe in him and know they will pay the price when they meet him?"
This is one of the oldest, and most outright asinine, arguments you theists use.
Are you afraid of Zeus because you really do, deep down, believe in him and know that you will pay the price when you meet him?
Oh, look, nothing happened. Seems pretty powerless to me.
Which means the only ones causing all the evil of God's religions... are His followers.
They're the ones I fear.
No, I don't fear God, I'm not afraid of God. However, it is God's rabid followers that I tend to fear, especially when said rabid followers get into positions of power and/or influence.

An old joke, if I may; Moishe and Isaac decided to kill Hitler, and set out after him with their weapons of choice. Unfortunately for all of us, the SS captured them before they got close, took them out to a back alley, pulled out their Lugers and asked if they had any last words.
Isaac spit in the oberlieutnants face and Moishe said; "Oy, Izzy, please, please don't make trouble."
Yeah right..just like I am afraid to have to face Nergal in the underworld when I die.. your God actually has LESS going for him than the older religions which have MUCH MORE time on this planet.
I think Xantrawler should be shaking his knees in fear that he may have to pay the price for thinking and saying that Zues is a myth, or a demon. He doesnt like that shit, and he will strike you down in the afterlife for it.
Have you ever been hit by imaginary lightning bolts? Have you ever been savaged by a horde of vicious illusions? Have you ever been drowned in a fantasy deluge? Have you ever been waylaid by an invisible deity? Have you ever been scorched by angels? Have you ever had your teeth knocked out by a deadly fusillade of fundie stupidity?
If you can answer yes to any of the above questions then you know why we atheists fear your man-made insane fantasy figure. If you can't answer yes to any of the above then your thinking is faulty. Wow! Imagine that! Fundie thinking could be faulty?
I have always wondered why atheists are so afraid of God.
What makes you think that atheists are afraid of your make believe magic skydaddy? Why would an atheist fear something they don't believe exists? It's like saying "I've always wondered why christian are so afraid of Vishnu, Buddha, Zeus, or Thor? "
Is it because they do believe in him
Mighty presumptous of you to think that you could know, much less that you do know what anyone truly believes on any subject. And yet your hubris spurs you onto making assertions of knowledge you could not possibly possess
and know they will pay the price when they meet him?
Then those people are not atheists. Atheists don't believe in your or anybody else's god, and therefore have no fear of your "god". Are you so utterly stupid that you can't understand that?
I can't be afraid of things I don't believe in.
The question here is, why are you not afraid of the hellish eternal torment to be inflicted upon the unbelievers in the Invisible Pink Unicorn?
Are you functionally retarded? If we don't believe in god, how do we also "know" we will have to pay his price when we meet him?
No god, no price, no meeting, no fear. We die and that is it.
You people are just upset because you've wasted your whole lives kissing a non-existent god's ass.
For what it's worth, it isn't fear to want you Christ-tards to keep your faith out of our schools, our governments, our science, and our lives.
Actually, if you read the Bible, it clearly states that it's you believers who must be afraid of your god, and not us non-believers. Why fear something that doesn't exist?
“I have always wondered why atheists are so afraid of God.”
Oh, yeah, absolutely terrified. Just like your fear of not being able to pay Charon for passage.
“Is it because they do believe in him and know they will pay the price when they meet him?”
Do you claim to be Christain because you’re secretly afraid of how bored you’ll be in Helheim?
Or Hades?
Confused?
