Every knee shall bow. Tim's just trying to get everybody accustomed to it.
When his career is over, they need to modify the Heisman and call it the Tebow. It will show Tim kneeling, head bowed, helmet on the ground in his classic pose. That's in addition to the same statue, done full-sized, to be erected at the University of Florida, and every professional stadium Tim ever played in.
Maybe by then we'll have a President who will set one up on the White House lawn.

What's been said....and also, the Heisman is a trophy for playing *GASP* FOOTBAAAALLL!
Praying is not athletics! This is why the Heisman shows a Football player doing "Footbally" things, like running with a football...cuz that Football players do.
"ARE YOU READY FOR THE PRRRAAAYYYIING" Just doesn't carry the same pizzazz.
Is it true that, after Saturday's game, Tebow was heard to pray, "My God, My God, Why has thou forsaken me?"
While Tim is reading John 3:16, he should turn back a few pages and read Matthew 6:5:
[Jesus:] "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues end zone and in the corners of the streets TV screen, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."
As a Bronco's fan (born and raised in CO) I can honestly say - Teblows.
He will never live up to his hype and his constant praying is annoying. After getting whipped by the Patriots maybe more people will see it.
By the way - this isn't Fundie, just ridiculous but unfortunately just the tip of the iceberg. Everyone else in the country thinks they have it bad; spend some time in Denver.
"It will show Tim kneeling, head bowed, helmet on the ground in his classic pose."
Wait a minute. Isn't that the same pose that's spread all over the internet as a facetious gesture or actual tribute?

Oh, and by the way, I've learned that one of the best ways to insult someone is to disguise the insult as a compliment. So the first choice may be the most correct of the two.
Tebow errs in making a public spectacle of his faith. Does he curse Satan when he misses a catch ?
His example has led to many people mocking Christianity, and thats not good.
"Maybe by then we'll have a President who will set one up on the White House lawn."
Establishment Clause, jackass.
If Christians are concerned about having a good candidate to vote for in November, there already is a Christian man in the race who not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. He’s trying to heal the sick, feed the hungry, care for the elderly, educate all of our children, help veterans get back on their feet with medical care and jobs, ease the tax burden on those of us who can least afford that burden, and make this country a place of which we may continue to be proud. That man is BARACK OBAMA.

So God was teaching you humility on Saturday? Is that the excuse ex machina you'll be going with?
I'll say one nice thing before I continue laughing at you, Tebow. After that nice end-around run, no one better call you a chicken shit. Maybe if you're real polite, Tom Brady will give you some pointers on resetting before you throw when you get flushed out of the pocket. You won't be learning that in church or obtaining it through divine magic.
Tim Tebow has a $9.7 million contract with the Denver Broncos. Being such a Jesus fan I'm sure Tim gives all if not most of that money to charities and children's hospitals. After all Jesus did say "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to pass through the kingdom of Heaven."
No wait, he doesn't. Well Jesus also had a thing to say about men who proudly display their faith in public: hypocrites.
Anyone who is so unconfident in their ability to play a game that they feel the need to personally request that the all-powerful creator of the universe grant them help even though such an act would be cheating, and arrogant enough to believe that said all-powerful universe-creator will give their frivolity greater priority than stopping world hunger or protecting the oppressed or anything like that, is a grade-A douchebag who has no sense of perspective whatsoever. Now that the Broncos were utterly crushed, maybe Tebow mania will finally die down?
I smell a poe . . . or maybe this is just a rather whimsical fundie. Idk.
Surprisingly, Tim Tebow is a fundie I actually am okay with. He actually does good work in other countries, such as building hospitals in the Philippines, though I don't doubt that he evangelizes there too. And who cares what he does on the football field? Though it seems a tad hypocritical because of the whole praying in private thing Jesus went on about. And the constant Tebowing is annoying. Trust me, I live in the town where all those kids got suspended for doing it in the hallways. He's praying. So what.
@pete: truth.
You're encouraging idolatry and Tebow should be put to death for working on the Sabbath.
Although upon further review, this does sorta read like sarcasm.
You want a statue of a praying footballer on the white house lawn?? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, that's a golden idea! Truly, not that I'm not convinced already, but that would prove beyond all doubt that the USA is a backwards looney town. I mean no offense to all rational Americans of course. Peace!
I prayed to Joe Pesci that the NY Giants would beat the Green Bay Packers yesterday...and lo and behold, they did!
All hail Joe Pesci, and his disciple, George Carlin (peace and blessings upon him).
Speaking of God proving his own existence through sports:

I don't know about this Tebow clown, but God finally mustered up the power to beat the bambino, so he must exist.
Next year the Cubs will win. Then we'll **really** know there's a God.
You know what I learned from this thread?
Who the fuck Tim Tebow was, finally!
Damn Americans and their lousy football code which is obviously inferior.
@ Orion:
I may dislike American football, but can you explain how it's any worse than, say, rugby? Also, "association" football (which was called soccer by the British first) is overrated. All you do is kick a ball back and forth. Big deal.
/leaves before flames fly
Tebow is acting against bible teachings, and those copying him are largely mocking. How is this a good thing ?
People bow under a yoke of oppression or when jabbed in the kidneys with a sharp stick. Perhaps an electric cattle prod.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
