My precious, innocent, beautiful 6 year old daughter. What do i tell her if i expect the tribulation to enter my home in the coming years. Right now she has the mind of a child and knows little of the sufferings of the world.
What would Jesus have me do? How do i prepare her? I will pray about this tonight and in the meantime i'm curious as to what others thoughts are on this.

I grew up in an extremely ... imaginative ... millenialist sect. Every night I'd watch the news, and based on what my parents and minister told me, the end times were here. When I was six years old I'd have nightmares about nuclear war and how the tribulation was coming. When I was 10, I asked my mom if it was even worth it to buy a new game for my Atari because I was sure that before I'd be able to get good at it, the world would be over and we'd all be going to whatever fallout shelters God had prepared for us.
Fuck.
I hated being a kid. I knew that the nearest military base to my house was NAS Brunswick, Maine. At 8 years old, I knew that it was an important strategic target (P-3's from there controlled the western side of teh G-I-UK gap (WTF does any 8yo need to know that for?!?!)), and I'd sit on the back porch looking that direction, wondering how much longer it'd be before I saw the mushroom cloud ... and hoping that I was good enough for God to take me away to the place "prepared specially" for the 144,000 ...
Jesus would likely remind you that you know not either the day or the hour and you really ought to chill out and not worry about it.
Rahab, anti-nonsense:
This guy's probably a post-tribber. They don't believe the Rapture will save them -- they have to tough it out with all the heathens and then get raptured if they survive.
Haven't you yet taught her that your bible says you are to kill followers of other religions, and that if she misbehaves she will be stoned to death? And if she doesn't do exactly what the bible says she will be tortured in hell forever? You should absolutely tell her the happy bible story that says if she ever makes fun of old bald-headed guys, god will send she-bears to tear her and 41 of her friends into pieces. I'll bet you haven't even taught her those happy bible stories about when god told people to slaughter all of those men, women (including pregnant women), children, infants and animals. Why aren't you following what your bible teaches? You are such a heathen.
A 6-year-old OUGHT to have the mind of a child and know little of the sufferings of the world. Not all children are that lucky, like the children of Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. The children of Flint, Michigan, Puerto Rico and Alabama, more closer to home.
Now your precious, innocent, beautiful daughter must be about 20 years old, and knowledgeable about the sufferings of the world.
Oh, and the "tribulation" clearly hasn't happened yet.
Wonder what you told her about the sufferings that Jesus and his dad intend to shower the world in...
Confused?
