Wow every one, way to comment on some randomly stripped and mis-quoted jumbleof text from about 5-6 years ago...
Sure I am the original author here but I cant recall what else was mentioned in my post. Ive been to this site before and have seen alot of my stuff misquoted and taken way way out of context but hey it happens.
So lets get to the bottom of this while im here shall we?
the vapor canopy wow what an interesting THEORY hm I myself support this above all theories buuuuttt it isnt gospel truth either so I have room to be taught otherwise.
Now the bible says that the water came from heaven as well as up from the ground in great fissures benieth the earth. so right off the bat the comment about earth turning into an oven goes right out the door. No I dont know the sky versus ground water ratio but if memory serves me correctly the vapor canopy was suppose to be around 40 ft thick.
The bible also says that it rained during that time. So the post about people being crushed under neith a falling canopy is utter nonsense. Yes it came crashing down... it came crashing down in the form of RAIN. And probably not all at once.
God....I cant type for nothing it seems lol ne way moving on.
I was reading an interesting article just the other day which talks about Navajo sandstone located at Zion National Park which is in short some pretty impressive cliffs. I will now quote somepeices of that article.
"The quartz sand is not piled horizontally, but is instead arranged as internally layered cross-beds that tilt 20-30 degrees to the south and southeast. Strong currents (water or air) are required to produce this effect."
now the sandstone formations themselves are scarce of fossils but the few fossils which are found are mostly marine life and dinosaurs. and when I say marine fossils im talking about clams and such. clams whose shells are aligned with the direction of the current.
long story short with this article scientists are saying that these sandstone sandune structures resemble closer to that of under water current formed deep sea sand dune srather than desert windblown sand dunes. and that in order to acheive this formation, water depth must have been around 300 ft with current velocities on the order of 4 ft per second across large portions of North America!
good article...it was made by a friend of mine. any wayyyy the question as to where the waters receded too well you dont have to use too much of your imagination i dont think. just take a look around now its plain to see to any one with eyes that there is vast VAST areas of tremendous "run off" in many places around the world suggesting that the waters of the flood "receeded" back into the ocean which is the word the bible chooses to use "recede"(sp) and lets not forget about the poles which are the last remnants of the ice age that was a result of the global flood as well. the poles still contain unbelievable amounts of ice which could possibly account for the flood waters.
alot of speculation you say? well possibly but i am a guy of a good scientific mindset and i like to speculate. =D
one last note you guys needs to give it a rest with the occams razor nonsense... honestly since when are things in life ever simple or equal for that matter? ;)
vauge pseudo philisophical out of context mis-quotes from random people dont do too well in science IMO so dont hold too dearly to such things or you may find yourself swept away by the feirce and raging waters of emperical science =D
