(discussing abortion)
WorldGoneCrazy:
"What someone else does is none of your business."
That's what slaveowners once said.
And, apparently was the same line of reasoning for Willie Parker, when it came to his apparent coerced "relationships" with women.
Murigen:
No, this isn't the same. What a woman chooses for herself has nothing to do with you. If a person were to force a woman to have an abortion would be where the legal system, the government, should step in. I'm sorry you don't understand the difference.
WorldGoneCrazy:
I understand you all too well!
"What a woman chooses for herself has nothing to do with you."
"What a plantation owner chooses for himself has nothing to do with you."
"What Willie Parker chooses for himself has nothing to do with you."
"What Andrea Yates chose for herself has nothing to do with you."

Someone Else: And here we thought it would be just as Blatantly Obvious, just as much Even Clearer Than Day, to everyone ELSE as to US that the complete version of that is "What someone else chooses for themselves has nothing to do with you as long as it doesn't hurt anyone !"
What you do TO sentient, living, breathing human beings is NOT just your business; it's their business too, Crazy.
- Slaves (sentient, living, breathing humans) were disrespected, harmed, raped, sold and killed. Some were kidnapped from their homes in Africa and transported to America, many of them died on the way. That was DEFINITELY their business too.
- A rapist harms and traumatize another sentient, living, breathing human being, perhaps for life. Some victims get pregnant, and have the added disgust and trauma of carrying a piece of the rapist inside them. That is DEFINITELY the victim's business too.
- Killing your children, even under the influence of postpartum depression, harms and, ya know, kills those sentient, living breathing children. It was DEFINITELY their business too.
Removing a non-sentient lump-of-cells the size of a finger-nail, which has no functioning nervous-system and neither lives nor breathes, that is DEFINITELY only the woman's (and to some extent her partner's) business.

Abortion is one of those things that Christians often condemn although the Bible does not. But we are fortunate in this country, and nobody is ever going to force you to have an abortion. It's a position of your particular religion, AND APPLIES ONLY TO THOSE WHO CHOOSE THAT RELIGION FREELY. We will never agree upon the matter, because it isn't a logical opinion.
Where we should be able to agree is that I have no say in your beliefs, and you have no say in my beliefs. Please, learn to respect that limitation.
What Ben and Jerry chooses for others has nothing to do with you .
Now go stick your head in a room temperature catering-sized tub of their product, Ice Cream Boy.
@Jocasta McFucken
From the "It doesn't matter how bad an analogy is to begin with, I'm determined to hammer it into the ground anyway" department. He left out nazis this time though - he's slipping
...and the terrible - but oh so memetastic* - analogy of ice cream flavours.

It's funny how he gave up the ice cream stuff as soon as he saw how mercilessly we were going after him for it, but he still uses the slave trader, nazi, rapist analogies over and over.

Let a few pages of his inane claptrap load up then then search the page for the word SLAVE. It's shocking. WAY more than Lady Checkmate says "alt-left".
Congratulations, Crazy! You have produced 3 examples of false equivalence there.
BUZZZ! Try again (or don't, that would be better).
The slaveowners in America didn't just keep it to themselves. They wanted the Northern states to help capture runaway slaves and the territories in the west to be slaveowners g as well
And anyway, I think it is my business if you want to own another human being as your property and treat them horribly as well.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
