What? Evidence please?
I was under the impression athiesm is on the rise. But lets suppose it has been on the decline since the end of communism in the old USSR, you still need to demonstrate there's a link. I could say anything happened because of something else happening that's just pure coincdence. I could just as easily say something bullshit, like prisons in Britain have become more overcrowded since the civil rights movement in the US. Technically I wouldn't be wrong, but I'd still be talking out of my arse.
Another thing, whats with fundies and them equating athiesm with communism? I'm atheist, I'm not communist. Many people in the USSR wren't athiest, in fact I'd be willing to bet most of them were religious.

Under communism, Atheism was endorsed by the state. But nowadays here in Europe, something much more dangerous to religion happens: People flock away from religion not because of some state propaganda, but because they are simply not interested in it anymore.
A small story about the significance of religion in constantly growing parts of Europe:
A friend here once had visitors from the US. They asked him they would like to "visit church" on the week-end. He answered: "Sure, no problem. Don't forget your camera, our church here has some very significant and interesting architectural features". When he learned that his friends didn't want to visit church for touristic reasons, but to actually attend a church service, he was really startled "Wait, what? You want to visit a ... church service??? Who on earth is doing such a thing???"
"dad4jesus", just get used to the fact that once countries reach a certain level of well-being and education, the need for religion starts to decline, and religion gets pushed back more and more into the closet. The USA will be no exception. The christian fundies in the USA are so aggressive because they know they are losing ground.

That's not evidence for God's existence - that's just evidence that it's possible for very large numbers of people to be completely wrong about something. The vast majority of people used to believe the world was flat. Was that evidence that it was?
Incidentally, isn't calling yourself dad4jesus a tad hubristic? Are you trying to tell us that you're God???

Is that why China now owns the US? They have $1 trillion as part of their foreign currency holdings cache. In cold, hard, ca$h. . They have the most powerful supercomputer on the planet, the Tianhe 1A. They're set to overtake the US in scientific R&D in the next two years. They're way ahead of you in gene research already. PROTIP: no GOP/Religious Right/Teabaggers telling them what to do. Because religion has no right to tell the people in this irreligious country what to do.
Say hello to your new landlord, Ruptured Retards:

I for one welcome our new Chinese overlords. Better start learning Mandarin. And Atheism, Ruptured Retards. Where is your God now?
In Soviet China, God worships you !
>:D
So, which of all the thousands of gods is the Big Kahuna, and what evidence do you have of that?
Not all the ones who are not non-religious or anti-religious are Christians, ya know. Many are Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Pagans, etc.
Sure, the old Eastern Europe Block is not forced to be non-religious any more, but is returning to it's old Orthodox and/or Catholic roots. But more and more of Western Europe says "meh" to religion altogether.
daddy, are you Orthodox or Catholic? Don't think so...
“The bottom line is that there is much more evidence for God's existence than his non-existence.”
How much is left after you take out subjective idiocy, though?
“The percentage of the total world population that is either non-religious or anti-religious is only about 14 percent."
I have a deep suspect on that math.
In discussions about who’s going to Hell, most Xians dismiss all Non-Christains, and half of the Christaains, as worshipers of Satan.
But they count towards ‘belief in god’ when your popularity argument needs them.
Bottom line, a Shinto monk existing doesn’t convince you to take up his faith, , why would he make me believe in your gods?

Since i didn’t use popularity to BECOME an atheist, it’s not terribly useful to convince me to stop…
Confused?
