When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. "What do you mean?" the media challenged me. "You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?" My simple answer is, "Yes, they are."

Thereby completely failing to actually answer the question.
In that case, you'd be dead long ago because, you know, your economy and security depends on the guys who are running India and Pakistan right now.
It all depends on the kind of America one envisions.
A right wign, religious nuthouse, theocratic and undemocratic America would start as Pat outlines. The Jews wouldn't last long unless they converted. In fact, they would be sent to Israel as living bombs to explode into the place and get the apocalypse under way. Those who remained in America would have the choice of converting or burning at the stake.
It would be a fundie paradise - just like Calvin's Geneva.
M: An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
A: Yes it is!
M: No it isn't!
A: Yes it is!
M: Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.
(short pause)
A: No it isn't.
M: It is.
A: Not at all.
M: Now look.
A: (Rings bell) Good Morning.
I'm no expert on American politics, but I don't remember this douchebag actually making it to a presidential election, let alone winning one.
There's hope yet for the good old US of A.

It sounds like a lie to me. But the constitution makes clear that the vetting process cannot depend on religion. It was never a conspiracy for an atheistic government, that's your false conspiracy theory and straw man. It's for the separation of church and state, necessary to prevent the kind of abuses Robertson hoped for, like persecuting those he falsely declares to be heretic and replacing the government by a corrupt mob. Atheists were always a minority in the US as well as in the government. There was no US president claiming to be atheist yet, even. Bullshit for Satan (vs "lying for Jesus", because Jesus wouldn't accept the hypocrite, he'd tell him to quit politics, to stop stealing from his fidels, pay his taxes and to donate his money to the poor instead, to stop being a bigot: but that's "woke" for Robertson).
Confused?
