Do you not consider God liberal?... Even if you sin a thousand times, only repent before the cross and God will forgive all. Do you not consider that the epitomy of liberality?

I can't really see this belonging here. As far as I understood, this is moderate/"happy"-Christians making fun of fundies.
And haven't we mentioned enough times that "Jesus would be a hippie today"?
Gjervan: Point taken, but consider also two things:
1. God is allegedly the one who set up the entire situation that supposedly caused fallible humans to fall from grace in a way that would have been impossible for us to avoid, and for this he condemns all of humanity to eternal torture (which is quite a bit of an overkill response to two kids stealing an apple).
2. The only way to receive the "liberal forgiveness" being offered is to accept an offer we can't refuse, because the alternative is that eternal torture -- as decreed by the alleged all-powerful lunatic who supposedly will do this without hesitation if we don't accept his "liberal mercy."
Sorry, but just because the Godfather doesn't personally shoot anyone doesn't mean that he's a nice guy. If God were real, he would be considered humanity's worst enemy.

Epitome of bigoted nepotism is more like it. So your god doesn't care how many you loot, torture, kill or rape, just as long as you are regular about giving him his "cut". That sounds a lot like you worship a celestial mafia kingpin.
God will let you get away with anything as long as you apologize? So if Hitler stood before a crucifix and said "sorry old boy" before he shot himself he earned a direct pass to Heaven?
Great morals your sky daddy's got. That's not liberality, that's insanity mixed with anarchy on a scale never before imagined.
“only repent before the cross and God will forgive all. Do you not consider that the epitomy of liberality?”
Epitomy reads like the surgical removal of an armpit.
And, no. The epitome of liberality is to forgive without exception, or conditions. God’s supposed to be omnibenevolent. Such a being would throw NO ONE into Hell.
Think of the ‘liberal judges’ that apparently let everyone go when brought before them. There wouldn’t even be a temporary purgatory.
Confused?
