So why would anybody assume because someone says that God doesn't heal amputees that he hates them.
Yeah I looked at the site, are you suggesting that the site is objectively seeking truth or pushing a view. Some of us here call that propaganda.
I dont have a link to give you but there are reports of limbs popping back out in the revivals going on in China right now. Seems people don't like to come forward and testify in coutries where they kill Christians.

"...there are reports..."
I love this phrase. It has to rank up there with "...it is believed...". When used without a reference, it means "what follows is a completely unsubstantiated assertion that I cannot confirm, but you cannot disprove".
Mr. Turquoise
Look, buddy, I don't know what people say where you live, but penises are not, in point of fact, limbs. Hard-ons for Jesus are not the same as miraculous limb restoration. Even if you did have E.D.
The sad thing was that I was honestly giving this guy my full attention and respect and I got nothing but Denial, Diversion, and Dismissal for my efforts.
I should have known better than to try and have a rational discussion with a fundy.
This just show two of the biggest problems with Fundies.
First, they generally have no idea what real proof is.
Second, they are so desperate to preserve their beliefs that they'll grasp at any bit of "evidence" that seems to support those beliefs. It doesn't matter how absurd and unproven this bit of "evidence" is, if it supports their beliefs or worldview, it's accepted as fact.
Having evidence for ones beliefs is NOT high on the list of priorities of most fundamentalist Christians. If it were, fewer of them would believe the biblical account of creation, the flood, burning bushes... The list is endless.
Hell, I've had idiot fundies tell me that 'in Africa' christer missionaries were bringing people back to life.. Of course with no proof.. Amputees regaining limbs is nothing compared to someone being able to bring a corpse back to life.. but.. 'oh, they don't want to come forward...'
"Seems people don't like to come forward and testify in coutries where they kill Christians"
Why not? Then they can go to heaven much quickly...
And you can always send the corpse to Africa, I don't have a link to give you, but it is believed that some say that it's not entirely impossible that in certain circumstances christian missionaires raise the dead (though I'm not 100% sure, you know).
“So why would anybody assume because someone says that God doesn't heal amputees that he hates them.”
Is that an assumption or a conclusion?
I mean, he’s omnipotent. He COULD replace limbs. Something prevents him except at suspicious revivals, huh? You’d think someone could just go to a hospital and put people back together, right?
“Yeah I looked at the site, are you suggesting that the site is objectively seeking truth or pushing a view. Some of us here call that propaganda.”
Do you have any evidence of an objective truth, here? Or just pushing your point of view that God’s okay despite his inaction?
“I dont have a link to give you but there are reports of limbs popping back out in the revivals going on in China right now.”
So, instead of evidence, you offer rumors of evidence somewhere we can’t verify.
“Seems people don't like to come forward and testify in coutries where they kill Christians.”
This is the god that has brought people back from the dead, right?
The God with Unlimited Power and the ability to conquer death?
So, if a government was killing MY worshipers, I might think it was justified to bring them back, just to make a point. Might bring about the end of such killing, right?
Like that duel in ‘Highlander,’ where Conner kept standing back up after his opponent stabbed him to death. His more and more frustrated opponent…
But apparently your god is willing to give them back a lost limb, but not their life for an unjust murder…
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
