You're partly right but mostly mistaken. Public schools don't discriminate against any particular religion: they discriminate against every religion. And it's not just that the proven minor adaptations are being taught in public schools, it's that unproven and impractical concepts of total naturalism, under the blanket term "evolution", are being shoved down students throats as if it were the gospel truth.

Look, kids are going to have something shoved down their throats in public schools, either creationism or evolution. I'd rather it wasn't creationism because, well... who wants something shoved down their throat that somebody just pulled from their arse?
UUUUUUUUGGGGGGUUUUUHHHHHH!!!!
Do you honestly think that naturalism is being shoved down people's throats!? Naturalism is simply the underlying principle for science, because without that assumption, we can say very little about the world around us, and observation ends at "It's an illusion" or "Jesus did it"! No one is saying that "Science is infallible truth that can be the only thing you can use to determine the way that you perceive the world". They are just giving you the objective facts, without tossing in the "look at the design" view into the picture, and letting you toss whatever crappy interpretations you want into the thing on your own time.
Science class is not about religous claims, deal with it.
Clue: if ALL religions are being "discriminated against" in public schools, that means that none of them are. It's like if you're rude to everyone, you're not racist... just a prick.
Gospel truth is an oxymoron. You're just a moron, Simulacrum.
I've attended a few public schools in my day and none of them discriminated against any particular religion. In fact one could argue they had a slight Christian leaning what with god making a cameo in the pledge of allegiance.
Naturalism is the default position when you don't deal with religions. It's also useful since science is based in reality so it just makes sense to teach kids that reality is real.
"unproven and impractical concepts of total naturalism, under the blanket term "evolution" "
No. No. NO.
It's YOU FUNDIES who are always lumping together every naturalistic explanation of the universe you see under the blanket term "evolution."
You call the big bang "evolution," you call the theory of the formation of the solar system from an interstellar gas-and-dust cloud "evolution," you call abiogenesis "evolution", you call EVERYTHING that doesn't invoke your personal god "evolution".
In the words of Dana Gould's mother, "What's wrong with you-u-u!"
The public school system discriminates against people with an agenda of enforced misinformation, that's all. The most pestiferous of those people are the bible queers who believe reality can safely be ignored in favor of their "gospel truth" bullshit.
Why are there no creationist parochial schools? Why do they need to fuck with mainstream education?
Oh, shut the fuck up and go to church if you want religion.
Also, schools do have the pledge of allegiance with the line "One nation under god".
If you discriminate against all religions then you're not discriminating against any religion. Treating every religion the same (as bullshit) can not, by definition, be discrimination. You're just butthurt because the schools are preventing you from getting 'em while they're young.
Confused?
