[Question: Why didn't god save Innocent children & babies during the flood and Gomorrah?]
Answer:
Because that negates free will. The question shouldn't be why didn't God do something about a situation, but why didn't we? Why didn't the people involved do what needed to be done to create a better environment for everyone?

"Because that negates free will."
Yet a booming voice from the heavens commanding Noah to build an ark doesn't violate free will. How odd.

God flooded the Earth. Remember? Kinda his fault.

Because your god decided he'd rather talk to an old drunk instead of, you know, appearing in front of everyone simultaneously and explaining that he wasn't happy with how things were going.

But he save Noah & his family, did he not then violate noah's free will? And how does killing every person in the world preserve the free will of those people?
Didn't killing everyone in the Flood and in Sodom and Gomorrah negate those people's free will? Basically god said "since YOU didn't do what I WANTED you to I am going to kill you." So where does man's free will come into play?
Your Free Will argument makes absolute no sense and is a cop-out.
"Because that negates free will. "
...and being forced to drown because a "benevolent" deity has a bug up his ass about a minority of people sinning isn't ignoring free will? o_O
For that matter, demanding that everyone obey you and kiss your ass properly, or else , is allowing free will, how , exactly?
Free will doesn't save you from drowning. You can choose which direction you flail in, but if the person who's drowning you ensures there is no way to survive, they have eliminated free will, not preserved it.
FACE. PALM.
Apply the last question to every time something goes wrong for anyone- see post-Katrina efforts, post-earthquake efforts in Haiti, see floodplain building in the midwest, see corporate warlords winning the fight against logic in the mind of Bob Everyman, see 'us v. them' dichotomy, see patriarchy, see tribalism, see Spot run, run, Spot, run...
and then see that the answer THERE is that people like YOU were comfy wrapped up in your privelege, your religion and your Snuggie.
"Free will" is just your excuse to blame the victims for everything. The Holy Sadist couldn't be to blame for anything, oh no! It's always those evil victims' fault for existing and thus provoking His Wrath!
Thank you for demonstrating that neither you nor your deity understand the concept of responsibility for one's actions. No, you don't get to tell the rest of us how to live, and that's why.
