Caffiene is addictive, just like music, pornography, television, games, and so forth. It is not meant for us.

I could think of worse addictions that, unlike the faux addictions you listed, actually cause harm - like religion, for example.
Well, caffeine /is/ mildly addictive. Luckily, the only withdrawel effects are sleepiness and headaches for a day, at most...
Actually, it's true that caffeine is addictive. It doesn't mean we should never drink it, just don't go overboad with it. Like all things, really.
@Nedraed: They read the Bible, duh! :P
Fun is addictive, just like music, pornography, television, games, and so forth. It is not meant for us.
There. Fixed.
Nedraed: Why, all the fun things like Hate, Rape("Remember! She asked for it, else you wouldn't have, riiiiight?"), spewing the former, encouraging the latter, and, of course, demanding all your money.
For god, of course.
What puzzles me is - what do these people do for fun?
In addition to what we others do? Feel guilty about it.
*sips his 4th can of Jolt* Huh, wha? Sorry, couldn't hear you over my iPod, the Playboy channel, and World of Warcraft.
(Incidentally, isn't music depicted in the Bible as a good thing??)
Gen. 1:29: And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
That plainly includes coffee. Then again, it also plainly includes oleander and poison ivy, but since it's your holy book and not mine, I'll let you work that out.
@NonProphet

Music in Biblical times was very different to music today. Very very different. They only had about five notes, no concept of harmony or counterpoint (which would just have sounded dicordant to them) and probably very limited rhythm, too.
I don't get why Bible-thumpers don't like heavy metal, then...
Music, television, now all games.
What the hell can fundehs do?!
Moose:
I have a case of Bawls here with our names on it.
Side effects include being INCREDIBLY awake while fundies are sleeping.
*gets the 5-minute epoxy, water hose & goldfish*
Just to define what Travis means with so forth: sex for pleasure, beer, thinking, and fun of course. God forbid fundies actually have fun.
O_O
...if a theocracy ever does come about, I'll be the one selling Bawls underground. I'll probably be beheaded for it, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to distribute caffeine to the needy.
FFS! WHY would you think caffeine is bad?
@ Chinchillazilla OH OH OH! I`ll buy some totally.
This god guy is crazy, I bet he smokes a lot of pot..
Okaaay, you stick with drinking water for the rest of your life if you want to but me? I need my coffee in the morning, it's what makes me human again, lol.
Gotta love puritans
fun = evil
There's a theory about it being possible that videogames and internet ARE actually addictive...
And caffiene is a harmful substance (I've come close to a couple of overdoses on the stuff)
But come on, escapism and jittering like a bi-polar schizophrenic on speed is nowhere near as harmful as religion (unless you try and play videogames at the same time...Then it's just harmful to your high score)
You know, I go out and google my name only to find my dumb little eBaums prank on here. Vote this shit down, I say, as I listen to Flogging Molly and chug my Brawndo.
He's right--Mortal Kombat, Castlevania, and Legacy of Kain are all highly addictive. And fun.
FINISH HIM!
WHAT IS A MAN? A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF BULLSHIT--THAT'S YOU, BELMONT! i, DRACULA, AM GONNA STEP ON YOUR DUMB ASS!
CAST HIM IN!!
Ooookay...
You can disagree with my lifestyle. You can call me a hellbound sodomite. You can even fight my right to marry, and you will likely meet passive resistance at the worst.
But if you ever...ever...EVER try and get between me and my coffee, I will end you. Full stop.
Caffeine is a vitamin, necessary for human brain function in a corporate environment. Religion, however, is completely unneeded and usually causes division, willful ignorance, and murder.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
