Many Christians disagree. But, most, perhaps all, a-theists also disagree! Consider what the "pope" and "cardinals" of a-theism say about the implications of Darwinism - they clearly see it as demanding godlessness and moral relativism:

The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference— DNA neither knows nor cares. Young earth versus old earth creationism is not the issue. Darwinism is. And I fail to see how it is even remotely compatible with ANY of Christian theology. And these a-theists seem to agree.
