We are experiencing it even in our home. My youngest son has heard frightening noises almost every night for 10 days, and this out of no where and soon after he was baptized. We told him that he is under attack, and that if he refuses to be scared then that makes satan angry at his demons/fallen angels and that he needs to focus on NOT being scared. He comes into our room in tears, telling us of the lizard like sounds he is hearing, bare feet walking on waxy floors, lizards with slime on their tales walking around, and sometimes people talking. He knows he's hearing things that aren't there, but he is just too young to not be scared.
I've seen spiritual warfare in my home before when i was a child as the evil ones would torment my younger brother. It's harder now to see it in my own home and with my own kids.
Come Lord Jesus!!

Please get him some REAL help. And thoes are lizard, they're salamanders, who look like lizards, but are amphibians.
Our daughter used to wake up frightened at night, believing that she could hear horses in the house.
This was actually the sound of two adults (us) snoring. At no point did we tell her that she was being attacked by demons because (a) there is no such thing as a demon, (b) we did not want to frighten the beejaysus out of her, (c) we are not religious fucking nutjobs and (d) we do not have a policy of abusing our child by way of traumatisation.
Just sayin'.
Let me guess: you had him baptized with the old: "in the name of the father, the son, and the HOLY GHOST", didn't you? And then when he woke in the night, scared, you reinforced that by telling him he was under attack! You are completely unfit to raise children, you god-besotted fool.
Funny that only fundies experience these demon attacks... I only hear creaking from the house moving, chirping of birds, my husband's snoring, and the cats moving around the house in the night. Oh, and sometimes a train downtown, or a car passing by.
If you hadn't scared your son with demons, he wouldn't be as scared as he is. You're the one making it harder.
Promoting fear you are, hmmm?
Fear is the path to the dark side!
Fear leads to anger!
Anger leads to hate!
Hate leads to... suffering!
Bad suffering you will give to your son. Dark side of the fundies I sense in him.

Thus the beginnings of childhood psychosis.
Auditory and visual hallucinations, as well as nausea, feelings of "presence", basically all your standard haunting guff, can be a sign of carbon monoxide poisoning. It might be possible to exorcise these "demons" by simply servicing the boiler!
And if that doesn't work, it's possible your kid might need some kind of medical intervention.
I just don't get why people are so quick to leap on board the crazy train without even trying to tule out the mundane first.
Your son heard a frightening sound, you -- his parents, whom he trusts without hesitation -- told him that he was under attack by demons from Hell and now he's jumping at every noise he hears? Well gee! WHO'D HAVE FUCKING GUESSED !?
And then they have the gall to call our parenting damaging and abusive...

(Paige's continuation of the story)
He is just 11, his name is Jack. He came into our room last night before even trying to sleep, just almost in tears. He's generally a very stoic kid, not given to much over emotional behavior so this is really something if it's freaking him out so bad. I read some scripture to him and he prayed with Dad, and we listened to a few praise songs and even then, later in the night, he was hearing things. He calls out "mom do you hear that?" like he needs reassurance. Like I said he knows it's in his head, but it's still scary enough that he needs assuring. Last night he slept on a cot in our room, I'd like to get him back into his room but I also don't want to push him if he isn't quite ready to face the scary alone. My other son who shares a room with him is a really heavy sleeper so he's not much help Prayers appreciated.
Just as we watch the news, and the amount of straight up demonic evil going on in the world, I really think we are in the last of the last days. Come Lord Jesus!!
There could be a Supermarine Spitfire in my back garden, with engine on at full revs, and I'd still sleep soundly. The reasons? Let me count the ways...!
1- Within 15-20 mins of head hitting pillow, I'm dead to the world. But perhaps because of some subconscious mechanism or post-REM Sleep state, I can be awoken by the alarm clock. But as long as I get my seven hours at least...!
Therefore you FAIL.
2- As an Atheist, I sleep the sleep of the contented, guilt-free, and psychologically secure person. Unlike you mental trainwrecks on Ruptured Retards.
You FAIL II.
3- Even at full revs, the sound of a Spitfire's Rolls-Royce V-12 Merlin engine has that almost organic quality to it (but then, no wonder, as what that engine is attached to is acknowledged as being the most beautiful machine ever built), that I could easily fall asleep to that. Thus you FAIL III, and you've struck out.
4- ?????
5- FAIL, FAIL, and thrice FAIL, and yea again, FAIL. And 'It's harder now ' & 'Come Lord Jesus!!'? Also:
