You're damn right I question the views of liberals. In reality, it is you liberals who are the mindless drones. Just look at your arguments, or actually, you know what, I don't even see any arguments for why homos should be allowed to adopt. All you do is bitch about my "racist, homophobic, fundamentalist, asshole with a closed-mind" views. That's an Ad Hominum argument, which is a logical fallacy.

How about the fact that the number of children in the system far outweighs the number of good, christian heterosexual couples who are taking them in?
Or did you not consider that?
OK, so let's leave "Hominum" out of the picture. No bitching about homophobe or homosexual.
Many humans want children, some can't have children the "natural" way, and have to resort to assisted pregnancies or adoption. If an aspiring parent is financially able to support a child, lack criminal records and seem to be able to raise a child to be a productive memeber of society, s/he should be allowed to get onto the adoption queue.
The gender and sexuality don't matter, just as the skin-color, political party, religion or lack of religion, and favorite hockey team don't matter.
Allegations aren't ad hominem if it can be demonstrated to be true...which your post does quite well.
As for why gay people should be allowed to adopt; why the hell shouldn't they? Rights exist (well, ought to exist) unless they can be demonstrated to be harmful of somebody else's rights.
You have the right to bear arms, but you can't shoot somebody else without a good reason.
You have the freedom of speech and of the press, but you can be charged with libel and slander.
You have the freedom of religion, but that ends when somebody else's rights are infringed upon .
Here in Germany the christian parties always undermine any effort to let homosexuals adopt children. As a gay man myself who would love to one day build a family of my own that has always been disheartening (although Germany is very liberal in comparison to other nations, don't get me wrong).
So I tried to understand their reasoning behind it. Most often the argument was "Children need parents of both sexes to successfully develope psychologically". Ok, that might be a possibility. But then I also discovered that there were two (!) consecutive studies made by order of those parties which both stated that this argument was bullshit. And our own Bundesgerichtshof (similar to the Supreme Court) judged that it was unconstitutional to withhold homosexual parents from the possibility of adoption. And the effect was... nothing. The christian parties under Merkel both ignored the studies they themselves ordered to be made as well as the judges. Instead they keep spewing the same bullshit over and over again so that their (aging) voters won't get mad at them for being "too liberal". People like the OP and many governments don't listen to arguments while claiming that there are none. And since therefore any discussion is futile I will tell them that they are close-minded bigotts as much as I want to, because guess what: They are.
Confused?
