"In the Bible, institutional power is referred to as 'the beast', which sets itself up to control people and their morals. Our government has been playing the role of God in saying that people are free to act as they want,"

Geez, Bish, if the government says we're free to act as we want, how do you see that as control? Just curious.
The Roman empire, Constantine, Justinian, Charlemagne, Otto the Great, Charles the Great, Napoleon, Mussolini, Hitler, the Pope, the Vatican and many others have been identified as "the beast". Here is yet another bozo who claims to know what the hell the psycho who wrote Revelation is rambling on about.
But, Rev., remember the Bible says all government officals are ordained by God. By your logic, God himself has ordained the "beast."

Well, if you take the literalist/eschatological/historically-ignorant reading of Revelation as a literal chain of events leading to the end of the world...then yeah, God does ordain the Beast.
Of course, if fundies were to take the time to figure out how Revelation would have been interpreted at the time it was written, they'd lose some of their favorite blood-porn.
Oh well, I suppose we Brits do have to have our own answer to Fred Phelps..
He says our "immoral" lifestyles and tolerance of gay marriage has caused the flooding but if that was the case then why is Brighton still dry? And what have the people of Tewksbury done to deserve that?
Does your god have really bad aim or what?
What? The bible calls something it doesn’t like a derogatory name? Get the fuck outta here! You mean like dog, whore, evil, defiled, unclean, demon, devil, etc.? It also tells you to pay your taxes and obey its laws. Yup, one can argue for or against just about anything with the bible.
Funnily enough, our government is of a christian (well, Church of England) persuasion, so God must be authorising this...
On re-reading this, it seems the Bishop is advocating... anarchy!?
Nihilism for Jesus! Now that'll attract more churchgoers!
An anglican fundie? I just researched a little bit about Rev. Graham Dow. This guy claims for example that heavy rains and flooding are caused by god who is angry at Britain tolerating homosexuals. He also demanded that an old stone with an inscribed curse from the 16th century should be exorcized and removed from Carlisle.
But we should be glad that people like Graham Dow exist. Because of people like him, the anglican church is in immediate danger of becoming de facto extinct in the next decades:

Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
