[Talking about the DaVinci Code movie]
The thing that gives me the biggest amount of solace is the knowledge that the people involved with this film -- every last one of them -- will face an eternity of unimaginable pain, butchery, and torture. For me, that's enough. Sure, there's always the temptation to exact some more Earthly revenge on this people, but we have to put our faith in God and in His ability to exact vengeance on those who attack His son.

I know sometimes when I'm having a hard day, I just sit down in a pleasant spot and think about all the people I don't agree with who are being burned, mutilated, and tormented. It's such a pick-me-up.
you know, for a secular site that posts some hilarious stories and boobies (and weiners) threads, fark sure has some huge idiots. or maybe it's the boobies threads causing it, i don't know.
Another reason to shit-can the whole Bible. We're to believe an "ever-loving, perfect, all-forgiving God" would condemn people to an eternity of unimaginable torment for disagreeing with him?
Doesn't sound so perfect. Sounds like a spoiled brat that needs a whuppin'.
Probably a troll, look at this comment below:
Well, he would have had to have died eventually, or else he'd be like two thousand years old now. The only person who can reasonably claim an age anywhere within an order of magnitude of that would be Dick Clark.
But, but... You're taking his comment out of context!
The full quote goes: "Sure, there's always the temptation to exact some more Earthly revenge on this people, but we have to put our faith in God and in His ability to exact vengeance on those who attack His son. Of course, since God loves us all, every one, He would never do that, but He could if He wanted to. Maybe I could do it for Him? I bet He'd like that! Sure He would! Now where did I put that skin lotion?"
Or something like that. Typical brainfucked moron.
I don't know why he would want to exact earthly revenge, that is certainly not in the bible, and not everyone working on the DaVinci Code will go to hell, they can still repent and be saved before they die.
I swear that the "Da Vinci code"; book and movie, was a FICTION!?!?!
sure, the story is based upon real things, but the basis of it is a fiction ?
See, when I was a practicing, believing Christain, i could not imagine enjoying Heaven if i knew that one person was suffering eternal torment in Hell.
No amount of sin would justify an eternity of suffering. It’s not productive like punishment. No one learns anything or gets a chance to show they changed. God is not glorified by sadistic revenge. I had to believe it was a test, to see if you acceted this situation when crunch time came.
The typical Christain response was rabid defense of meaningless torture. Like the OP, they get solace that anyone who even disagrees with them suffers ETERNALLY. Their eyes glaze and teh spittal flies from their rapidly moving lips. Their excitement is in teh torture, not the love.
Sick, sick bastards, I though, and eventually left the church.
No one has every exlpained Hell in a way that,t o me, dovetails with the way Biblegod tells us to be Christains.
The thing that gives me the biggest amount of colas is the knowledge that the tiny people imagined with this film -- every last one of them -- will face a tree of uninvolvable pain, butchery and tour rent. For me, that's no huge shit. Sure, there's always the temptation to exact some more Earthly revenge on people, but we have to gut our faith in Pod and in His ability to exact vengeance on those who attack His nose.
Confused?
