[Talking about God making Eve out of Adam's rib]
Does this contradict science? Is not the DNA in the marrow of the bones or ribs? Does Adam not have a X & a Y. Are you saying that science contradicts the Bible in that you can not form a women out of the DNA found in the rib of man?
By all means, produce your evidence. Now is your chance to prove the Bible wrong once and for all. Or perhaps this is still a little advanced and science has not quite caught up to the Bible on this point. There is a lot of research going on right now with stem cells and bone marrow.

Well, it is right in that you could, with sufficiently advanced technology, clone a woman from a mans rib, but the fact that it never actually happened just goes straight over its head.
Wait, and here I was deluded how getting marrow from the rib is wishful thinking. Now, mind you, I've had a genetics PhD student tell me that, and you have what, a 3000 years old BOOK?
Dude, if what you say is true, then Adam essentially had children with himself. Were the Genesis account literal we, as a species, should be little more than walking chromosome disorders.
I guess theoretically with some advances in technology it might be done, but not overnight in a garden.
Well, let's see, cloning. You could take some genetic material from a male rib, and then you'd have to insert it into a female egg ... Ah. I think I've spotted a flaw in the hypothesis.

TB beat me in. So who added the extra X info, Satan? And how do you get ANY genetic diversity through cloning? So Cain slaying Abel was actually Adam 3 killing Adam 4, but fortunately several hundred years later Adam 1 slept with Adam 2 forming Adam 5 (Seth)

Yes, Eve was cloned from Adam's DNA, and then Adam had sex with his clone, producing the rest of humanity. Thus, the entire human race is the product of a more severe form of inbreeding than brother-sister incest and are subject to a high level of inbreeding depression. Furrthermore, the first few generations of humanity after Eden all looked exactly alike and had no genetic variation at all. Makes perfect sense; it certainly explains what's wrong with JohnR7.
The fable of Eve being created from Adam's rib is nothing but patriarchal bullshit. For centuries people believed men had one less rib than women. Hell, my ex-wife believed it and that was 1979!

dont know if anyone is still posting on this but just a reminder... God created adam from clay... set aside from all other created creatures. Who cares if he used the DNA, RNA, proteins and whatnot from Adams rib... they are existent only from biogenesis... (coming from living things) Nowhere can these be created... not even after years in labs. Which by the way means that evolutionists that think "in the beginning Dirt..." the dirt or primordial ooze that created DNA is more intelligent than every scientist trying to form it today. And just a reminder, you are an idiot if you thought men had one less rib than women, then find out they dont, and lose faith in God over it... you never wanted to believe in the first place. By the way... the lower rib IS the ONLY bone in the human body that will grow back if you remove it. Just soak that up with a little evidence that young earth dating methods are in extreme excess of those dating the world with radiometric, carbon dating, etc. Check it out with an open mind... Search it up... "creation science." Search for the truth, an honest truth, and you will find it... Christianity is not a blind faith.
