There are numerous ways to know that the King James Bible is truly God's Word:

1.It's the Bible which built America's churches and has stood the test of time.

2.The KJB came before all these modern imposters.

3.The KJB is the soul-winner's Bible.

4.All modern Bibles come from Westcott and Hort's 1881 Greek and Rudolph Kittel's Hebrew (but not the KJB).

5.The KJB is the one that queers, heretics and ecumenicals hate and attack.

6.The KJB is not copyrighted. All modern versions are copyrighted so the publishers can exclusively profit.

7.Only the KJB contains italics, put there by the translators because they were so honest in their work. These are words added for clarity. The translators wanted us to know that these words were not original. None of the modern versions are that honest.

8.Only the KJB maintains the authoritativeness of God's Word. All modern versions read like comic books.

9.Only the KJB teaches the simplicity that is in Christ concerning salvation. All the new versions teach Lordship Salvation.

10.Only the KJB crowd believes in a word-for-word preserved Bible. All modern heretics claim only the original autographs were word-for-word accurate. They say that every Bible is a flawed Bible today, and we don't have even one perfect Holy Bible.

Sadly, the integrity and purity of God's Word doesn't matter to today's apostate ministers. They're so boggled-down with administrating the church that they have lost sight of what really matters... TRUTH!!!

1. The American colonies were built on the Geneva Bible due to the majority of colonists being Puritan separatists. The KJV supplanted the Geneva Bible because the British Crown forbade the printing of any other version.

2. So what? The Bishop's Bible, the Geneva Bible, the Great Bible, Tyndale's Bible and the Latin Vulgate all came before the KJV. The Vulgate was THE bible for over a thousand years.

3. Subjective and irrelevant. You can "win souls" with any translation, or with none at all.

4. Modern translations are from an eclectic text based on thousands of ancient manuscripts from both the Byzantine and Alexandrian text types. The KJV is based on less that ten Greek manuscripts, none older that the tenth century.

5. I don't think people who David define as "Bible-haters" particularly care which version one uses.

6. The KJV does have a Royal copyright in Great Britain but so what? "Happy Birthday" isn't copyrighted either but I don't think God wrote it.

7. If the KJV was perfect, why did the translators NEED to add words in italics? Modern versions have extensive textual notes regarding variant readings, JUST LIKE THE 1611 KJV DID!

8. The KJV does reflect the majesty of Jacobean English but the Hebrew and Greek originals are not written in elevated forms of those languages.

9. Good modern translations like the NIV or the NRSV more accurately reflect what was originally written. If you don't like the theology, your problem isn't with the translation.

10. There is no such thing as a perfect translation from one language to another. The KJV is a good translation written in an archaic and elevated form of English. If you prefer it, that's fine but good modern translations are more accurate renderings of the original writings.

I can answer that extremely easily: Yes.

It's probably the reason why those C-of-E clergy peers in the House of Lords dropped their opposition to the S-SM Bill, thus it breezed through Parliament and became law in 2013.

They didn't want to be accused of hypocrisy: a gay king, thus a gay Bible, therefore a gay God...!

You can answer that simple question with a simpler 'Yes' or 'No', Jerky. If I can extremely easily, then what's your excuse? Go ahead. You have our undivided attention.

If you can reconcile your foaming excuses, apologetics, evasions etc with the fact that there isn't word one of condemnation of David & Jonathan in the OT. Also how your 'Lord' never said word one about homosexuality in the entirety of the NT.

King James I was as gay as they come. In the 'Christian Bible' he authorised, he never condemned David & Jonathan in that part of Scripture; the fact that your 'Lord' never mentioned homosexuals speaks more volumes than the Library of Alexandria. You & all your fundie ilk are so bogged down in that river in Egypt about the fact that your precious 'Christian Bible' has roots in the degenerates you decry; that you've lost sight of what really matters... your 'Truth' LIES to you: and you've allowed it to.

ANd right out of the gate, the contender disqualifies himself.
The KJV describes the sky as solid. That hasn’t withstood the test of time since the successful moon mission.
And Genesis doesn’t match the geologic record. And Genesis doesn’t match the evolutionary record. And Genesis doesn’t match the cosmology record. You can try to shift various passages to metaphor, poetry, or local color, OR accuse all the counter evidence of being forged, but if you can’t really prove any of that, you can’t claim the Holy High Quality Paper has ‘withstood’ anything.
