[On the "Crying" Virgin Mary in Sacramento, 'For men who have been seeing hoaxes like this for years, an explanation is impossibly easy.']
Hoax? You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all the time. Do you think that Christians are morons who will believe everything and anything they are told?

As long as it is told to them by a 2000 year old tome, or in the case of catholics, an old dude with a really big hat, yes, i do think they will believe anything.
<<< Do you think that Christians are morons who will believe everything and anything they are told? >>>
You don't really want to know the answer to that. (Well, there are some who are sane, but if by "Christian" you mean "fundie" ... )
Oh, yes, that is a priceless example of irony in a rhetorical question.
And somebody should point out that, regardless of who is being fooled, it clearly isn't "all of the people all the time" in this case, or there would be no difference of opinion here.

"Do you think that Christians are morons who will believe everything and anything they are told?"
Based on the amount of money made by Benny Hinn, the Crouches, and Robertsons, et al, why....
FUCK YES!
"Do you think that Christians are morons who will believe everything and anything they are told?"
To be fair, it doesn't apply to liberal Christians. But if you replace "Christians" with "fundies", it's just too funny. It's not true, though. They won't believe anything that contradicts a literal interpretation of their bronze age book, however well it is supported by evidence.
Yep.
Well some Christians.
Also, you mangled that quote, it's "you can fool some of the people all of the time, or all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
You are one of the some of the people that has been fooled all of the time by fundamentalist bullshit.
Do you think that Christians are morons who will believe everything and anything they are told?
Not all, but those that do are the laughingstock of the civilized world.
I don't think that Christians are morons who will believe everything and anything they are told. For instance, when you tell them what science has discovered in the last several centuries, they totally refuse to believe it at all!
Hoax? You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all the time.
Well, duh - that's why there are people telling you it's a hoax!
Fortunately, there are liberal and moderate christians who are able to divorce the so-called "scientific and historical truths" of the bible from the religious and moral aspects. They believe that the bible is not a science or historical textbook, but a book for spirituality and ethics. They don't believe the stories in the OT are historical truth, but allegory. They believe the main point of jesus' teaching was love, kindness, respect, acceptance, and forgiveness. This, to me, is "true, biblical christianity". Some don't even believe that humans being made in the "image and likeness" of god means that god is some anthropomorphic deity, but that image and likeness referes to intellect and will. Too bad they don't speak up enough against the fundy counterparts who are ruining it for the rest of them. So no, not all christians are morons who will believe any and everything they are told, but only them with a racist/bigot/greedy/anti-intellectual/inferiority complex/hateful itch that needs to be scratched.
You're making it too easy.
@A mind far far away: "This, to me, is "true, biblical christianity"." Sure, but that's still a no true Scotsman. Fact is that fundies still *are* christians by any definition. I doubt that anyone on here actually believes that 100% of all self-labeled christians are as gullible as this character.
You are forgetting a significant part of that quote, "You can fool some of the people all of the time."
Christians who buy into hoaxes like this have always been a vocal minority. Even when these events are demonstrated as hoaxes again and again, they continue to point to other so-called miracles and say, "well, I know this one is real!" In other words, they are some of the people who get fooled all of the time.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
