I cant believe the people not believing in God, and not accepting Jesus Christ as their Saviour. These people go against the truth of the bible, and probably believe the earth to be a sphere to, against the truth of the bible.
This makes me sad, im happy ot have found a forum that truly belief the truth of the Christian God, and the that the world (earth) to be flat, as stated in the bible. Hallelulja.

There are more than a few people who strongly believe the earth is flat. They also deny that man ever landed on the moon.
This is similar to, but not quite the same as a denial of the fossil record. The twist here is that the earth looks flat, therefore it is flat. The moon looks small, therefore it is small.
This is, of course, despite the fact that there are experiments one can personally do with surveyor's equipment that will prove the curvature of the earth, and that any decent telescope can show that the moon is quite far away.
To these people, that doesn't matter. The truth is not immediately obvious to the naked eye, so therefore it can't possibly be true. They suspend all critical thinking to subject themselves to the rigid belief structure of a third party: the Bible, a charismatic leader, a crackpot national bestseller, it could be anything that takes responsibility for truth.
This person probably not only believes that the earth is flat, they probably believe that it's 6000 years old, the center of the universe, and that all the stars are just "lights" placed in a "firmament" only a few hundred miles away. They also probably believe Jonah was swallowed by a whale, withces and homosexuals should be put to death, and women should be subservient and submissive in all things to the men in their life.
The ironic thing is that placing their faith in these things requires more faith in the unseen than accepting that the earth is round would.
Please, please, please, tell me this is coming from someone who is blind or has never been outside before.

This is probably true. I'm sorry you can't believe in something so obvious as people not believing in God/Jesus.

Yes, I admit it. I believe the earth to be essentially a sphere.
I DO believe in the truth of the Bible. The problem is there is so very little truth IN the Bible.
"This makes me sad,"
It makes me sad that so many people base their lives on the stories of some ancient desert bumpkins. And, I''m sadder yet when those people try to enforce their delusions on society at large.

Yeah, certainty is comforting, even if one has to achieve it through obtuse buttheadedness.
AlexLoup -- You can start with Matthew 4:8, Luke 4:5 and Revelation 1:7. There are many others.
Hmm? Other people on the christian forum think Snoopy is a troll. I suspect so, too, what with that line about a flat world. But, then again, the Flat Earth Society still exists (and even has a website), so there ARE fundies who are stupid enough to believe this.
Amazing, the CATHOLIC kings discover America, lots of progress in travel and transportation and explanation to phenomena we deal with would not be explained if Earth was flat and there are still morons like this one?. One of the problems of a society like this one is that they can afford having idiots like this.
By the way, if you keep with the flat earth argument and travel around the world, dear, I wouldn't hire you for propaganda.

I can't believe people not liking raw clams, but I don't go around trying to shove clams down their throats.
If the world was flat, it'd be hard to, um... circumnavigate the globe... which people do almost every day in planes now...
And uh... okay, I think there's been one too many fumes sniffed here...
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
