No rational person, least of all a liberal, suppresses lectures or the dissemination of any kind of information. They just point out glaring fallacies, as loudly as possible, and are right to do so. Peer review is probably best thought of as "tough love".

Who passes legislation effectively gagging any opposing views? The conservatives. Who successfully engineered the idea that to criticize the President is anti-American? The consevatives. Who has unashamedly shifted the vast majority of the tax burden off of the super rich who put them in office? The conservatives. Who has systematically constructed the lie that all liberals are immoral and all conservatives are Godly? Who falsified intelligence to justify unneeded wars resulting in the death of thousands of Americans and the maiming of tens of thousands more? Who has used the fear of terrorism to preside over the largest concentration of political power in the history of the nation? Who has blatantly packed the judiciary with partisan judges while labeling any judge who opposes their policies "activist?" Who authored the Patriot Act, which has removed more freedoms and libertiies than any other legislation in US history? Who is mortgaging the future of the planet for profits now? Who allowed thousands of poor US citizens to languish in abject desperation for days after Hurrican Katrina because they had foolishly squandered necessary resources and packed FEMA with incompetant political appointees? Conservatives.opposed the ending of slavery and the suffrage of women and blacks and the establishment of social programs for the benefit of the people and the end of segregation and the Voting Rights Act and the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act and Medicare? That's right, conservatives opposed every single one of those things.
You can try to promote the party line that all liberals are wicked, Godless, commie, socialists...but that doesn;t make it true. I, for one, wear the label "liberal" as a badge of honor.

You are led little sheep bahing obediently to Rush and FOXGOPNEWS. Has it ever occurred to you to wonder why Bush and Rush only appear in front of hand-picked audiences? Well let's see, the Conservatives in the USA have people like Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh...and while there are certainly some shrill liberal activists, who gets more media exposure?
