God has said that men MUST execute murderers since Gen 9:6 and the reason He gave for us doing so was because He made us in His image. That's what Gen 9:6 says, read it.
Also, Jesus Christ upheld executing those who curse father and mother in Matt 15 and Mark 7 which is a punishment he gave in Ex 21:17. Of course, you wouldn't know that since you probably have never read those verses ever.

Great, but here's the catch. You and your ilk are not God, and it's the height of presumption to act on God's behalf, let alone know his will. If he wants someone dead, let him do his own dirty work.
So, women, children and sinners are made to his(sorry, I'm going to laugh)image...........or wait, are you sure that he upheld that verse?. The first one is the opposite, basically he's DISCREDITING the pharisees tradition of taking to the letter Deuteronomy(sounds familiar?). Mark 7 is just an example of how they selectively quoted the law to uphold their interest. Yes, they have read it, you haven't understood it well, apparently. Otherwise, can't you see that it contradicts how he forgave an adultress?.
Not quite right.
Gen 9:6 - Is a conversation between God and Noah, he is explaining his covenant with Noah It was about accountability that God requires of him and not eat meat with lifeblood still in it. It has nothing to do with execution, if you read the whole chapter.
Exodus, does have a lot to say about putting people to death, however it was about a very large community in the wilderness, the needed laws. The Ten Commandments are a basic morality for us all still.
Matt 15 and Mark 7 is Jesus attacking the Pharisees, for their legalism and is pointing out their hypocrisy. He did not actually advocate executing them for not honouring their parents.
And I know this because I read the verses and read the chapters too, to get it in context. Something Fundies rarely do.
I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again:
If god made Man in his image, then god must be one ugly motherfucker.
Actually I have read EVERY verse of the bible and the Apocrypha on more than one occasion. That includes your god's punishment of Cain, the first murderer: banishment, with the imposition of a mark to protect him from would-be vigilantes.
Or had you not read that story?
So much for "Thou shalt not kill", eh? Yet abortion is murder, right?
The contradictions and the hypocrisy of the pious truly know no bounds.
“God has said that men MUST execute murderers s”
But not Cain. Right out of the gate, four people on Earth, one of them commits murder… and gets to found a city.
Yeah, that’s consistent.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
