The way I see it is this. Think of this world as a house, the people as children, and God as the parents. The parents go away fro the weekend and trust that the children will take care of the house. However,the children invite their friends over, drink lots of alcohol, and trash the house. Do you think the parents would be happy coming home?

If the fundie god truly does exist, I don't think he will be very pleased that we are trashing the planet he allowed us to live on. I don't understand why the fundies are so against environmental sustainability and such. Sure, I get that the rapture is supposedly happening soon so their is no point in thinking about the future, but it clearly states in the bible that God created the earth and all the animals and such. So, since the earth is, ya know, Big Daddy's creation, wouldn't the fundies be more caring to the earth.
