The stories of Harry Potter and friends are a story channelled by JK Rowling from an alternate universe where a similar style of life happened, the only thing that has changed is the names. There are many writers and creaters who do this, take the Director James Cameron for example and his movie Avatar

Kings Cross! All change for Middle-Earth, Westeros, Oz, and Discworld! Passengers for Narnia should proceed to fuck off, weaksauce place that it is.
It's funny. People who make claims like this usually think it's a compliment, that their favourite authors are privileged to "see beyond the veil" or some such bullshit, but actually it is only a massive insult to people who devote so much time and effort to creating these stories and then some idiots think all they do is write down what happened and change the names.
That's why I only read authors who write of peaceful, idillyc countryside life.I dream of moving to a beautiful Maine town like Castle Rock or Derry, or who knows, maybe even Arkham or Innsmouth!

To throw the Yeerks off their trail, of course.
I've heard of this particular brand of looney. It's a second cousin of the Otherkin, and people who claim to have been on shamanic journeys through the Nine Worlds of Yggdrasil.
"If a negative aligned being knows your soul or true spirit name, they can use it to possess or manpulate you without your permission, this is how many people come under recruitment to other negative entities and do not realise it."
I wonder if that's in the LifeLock contract?
Ah, good old Pantheistic Solipsism. You know, I actually came up with this concept myself as a kid, not knowing other people had thought of it or that it actually had a name, and I disproved it with the following thought experiment:
- If every possibly universe that anyone could think up exists, there must be at least one universe containing a being (let's call him Bob) who has the ability to travel from one universe to another.
- In at least one of the universes that Bob exists in, he must have decided to use his power to travel to our universe and appear right in front of me, right now.
- I don't see Bob
- So much for pantheistic solipsism, sorry Heinlein
While this poster is moronic for stating this as fact, I have seen this concept played a lot (particularly in an episode of "Justice League") and, personally, I'm a big believer in it.
The idea of alternate universes is "infinite possibilities". Don't you think that, out of all those infinite universes, at least one of them is a work of fiction here.
From something simple like "What Women Want", to something grand like "Lord of the Rings", anything is a possibility.
Confused?
