ALL viruses are good for human beings, but sad to say, the human being immune systems were wrecked/weakened by sin, then, these viruses are become dangerous.

Oh dear. Someone's left the front gate of the loonybin open again....
If what samurai says is true, then how come there are virii that attack, and even kill, other animals and plants?
Or does Cauliflower Mosaic Virus only affect sinful cauliflowers?
It's easy to say this kind of crap if you have no conception of what a virus even is, just some vague nebulous idea of it being a Bad Thing. A virus injects components of itself into a host cell and hijacks its reproductive mechanisms, in order to make more virii, which eventually escape when the cell itself is destroyed by the process.
In single words, the mechanism of survival for a virus is invade-zombify-reproduce-destroy-repeat. If you can describe any conceivalbly workable mechanism by which some "pre-sin" human immune system could benefit from such an insidious parasite, I'll be impressed.
Wait what?
Tell me samurai, did you think that all up by yourself?
Brain_in_a_jar beat me to the virus=parasite explanation....
Viruses are good?, and I'm the empress of China. And the inmune system............it exists because of the virus, which "sin" has turned them dangerous?, if they weren't, we wouldn't have one, to begin with.
a) the IQ of a virus.
b) troll.
c) all of the above.
Ohh ohh! He's trying to say that there are some viruses that the immune system can easily get rid of, but AIDS (=sin in this person's mind) weakens the immune system so that it can't fight off the viruses that can normally be easily fought off.. Please? Please tell me that this person doesn't really think that viruses are GOOD, and that sin literally makes them bad..
I recently had an unfortunate discussion with a fundie relative about sin and disease. I do not think most believe that True Christians will not get ill; it's more that the Devil released sin into the world and the evil spawned from Original Sin causes all disease, infections, birth defects, blah blah.
Long story short, I was told I was going to hell for not taking the Bible literally. See y'all there.
I went to the original thread - and it is referencing AIDS. So, based on his logic AIDS is caused by sin.
Okay, digging back in the old brain to the early pentecostal holiness/catholic force fed religious teachings, if we confessed our sin, God was forgiving and just and forgave us all our sins. So, following that twisted logic, based on that force fed teaching, AIDS should be cured by confession.
Ah, but in real life, that isn't so. So "samurai" needs to get a glass stomach because that is the only way he can see because his head is so far up his you-know-what!
Oh, really?
So the black plague that wiped out half of Europe was a good thing? The millions who die every year of cancer, including many Christians, is a good thing? Oh, that's right. If it's a non Christian who dies of some disease that's god's punishment, but if it's a Christian it's because god wanted them to be with him, right?
Moron!
Cue the Azumanga Daioh "What." image.
Two things, samurai:
First of all, does this mean that plants and animals are sinful, too?
Second of all, why did we have an immune system in the first place, if the virii it's designed to fight were good for us?
I know Samurai from IIDB.
Unfortunately he is not a troll/Poe....
He is 'special'.
Ignore him. If you argue he just hangs around and makes even more outrageous statements until the thread devolves into a slanging match and gets locked.
@Beccs
Cancer is not a virus (but I'm sure that is also caused by sin)
Can someone use their time machine to travel back in time a kill the founder of christian science afore she stops listening to commen sense. I would but mines in the shop.
Biology Revisionsm Award?
I think someone should inject him some ebola, or another rather inconvenient virus.
Ah yes, everybody can benefit from a parasite that forcibly enters your body and uses it only to reproduce and spread further.
Oh wait, except for the person who has the virus....and the people around the person who has the virus...and possibly the animals and plants....and all the other things that use the animals and plants.
So yeah, it's totally good for you.
(Also in thread, also by Samurai)
>> You need to remember that even the cancer that is supposed to be dangerous to human, scientist is hoping that they could get the cancel cells to help human in aging.
IT IS STILL TRUE: God created all things for "good" of human.
Reminds me of the guy that once said cancer was good because it brought people closer to God. Lol.
Confused?
