You saw that your government was following policies that you disagreed with. You wanted to fight against militant Islam. You could have gotten involved in politics at the local or national level. You didn't. You could have signed up for the military. You didn't. You could have become a pundit and tried to win others to your cause. You didn't.
You didn't do any of those things.
Instead, you planted a bomb in an urban area, set a timer, and ran the fuck away. You didn't know who was going to be in the blast area, and you didn't care.
You could have stopped there. You'd already gone too far, but that wasn't enough for you.
Not satisfied, you posed as a policeman and traveled to an island full of children. Once there, you murdered as many of them as you could. They hadn't done anything to you, your family, or your country. They didn't know who you were, or why you were killing them. They weren't armed. They were innocent, in every conceivable sense of the word.
None of this makes you a hero, it doesn't make you a "knight", and it sure as shit doesn't make you anything to be celebrated. You aren't brave. You aren't even smart. You're a piece of shit.
