There seems to be alot of confusion on this board regarding Christianity.
You mean a Christian isn't someone who believes in Christ? What?
I see people posting about "Christians" who believe in an old earth.
Yes, so?
"Christians" who believe in Evolution.
Yes, so?
"Christians" who believe the Bible has mistakes in it, etc.
Show me one book in the Bible that doesn't have mistakes in it. Trust me, they're right there for everybody to see.
This is what's called Counterfeit Christianity.
Faith is a material thing that can be forged?
There is no way you can call yourself a Christian and accept Darwin's theory of Evolution when the Bible is perfectly clear that there was no Evolution.
The Bible is also perfectly clear that Judas died via hanging. The Bible is also perfectly clear that Judas died via disembowlment. Clearly we can't trust what the Bible is "perfectly clear" about.
No excuses whatsoever.
Reality isn't an excuse?
Counterfeit Christians say Genesis shouldn't be taken literally, but they give no reason as to why we shouldn't take it literally!
Genesis 1:25-27 vs. Genesis 2:18-19; Genesis 1:27 vs. Genesis 2:18-22. And those are just two reasons why we shouldn't.
So I want to make clear what the differences are between True Christians and Counterfeit Christians:
Again, how is faith, which is immaterial, forged?
True Christians believe in the Bible.
Um, so do a lot of the other Christians. They're just realistic about it.
ALL of it.
On Jesus' ressurrection:
Matthew 28:2-5: An angel comes down on site.
Mark 16:5: A young man comes on site.
Luke 24:4: Two men come on site.
John 20:1-2: No one is there.
True Christians are not sympathetic towards other belief systems.
To tell the truth it does seem a little strange to me to be able to believe your God is right and everyone else is still okay. There's clearly no real problem here, as the vast majority of religious people don't care what religion the other person is. Maybe because I'm atheist I can't conceive of how to do it. To me the different beliefs mean very little because I don't see truth in any of them.
A true Christian cannot say that another religion "may lead to God."
I shouldn't comment on this. See above answer.
I do not like Muslims, but I do like the Jews.
Wait, why?
Although I do not respect Judaism (because it is false and does not lead to salvation), I do respect the Jews because of what the Bible teaches, and because of the importance of Israel in God's plan.
Um, Muslims are in Israel, too. And the Bible says accept everyone - faith shouldn't matter.
The Jews have also been strongly oppressed, therefore true Christians are also proud supporters of Israel (like myself).
And Muslims haven't been oppressed? Have you been living under a rock your whole life?
True Christians believe in a young earth, and creationism.
A "Christian" is someone who accepts Christ as their saviour. (The clue is in the root word of "Christian".) Everyone, regardless of the details, is a True Christian (TM) if they accept Christ as their saviour.
True Christians believe in the Trinity doctrine, while many counterfeit Christians reject it.
But the Trinity is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost...but the Father is the Son, and the Son is the Holy Ghost, because the Father is the Holy Ghost and the Son is the Father...so...uh...you believe in a "Trinity" with one person in it.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!
May I ask you why you are so mind-numbingly stupid?
