Now here's your reality:
And here's yours:
1) you are a sinner.
There is no such thing as "sin." There are things which are helpful to the group that are considered "good," and things which are harmful, which are considered "bad." The things you consider as "sin" are partly the latter, and partly things with which to control the populace.
2) the penalty of sin is death.
Everyone dies - everything as well. It's not because of sin, it's because of how life works.
3) Christ paid that penalty for you
A purely senseless concept, to be sure. Does it really seem logical to you that a just god would punish someone else for my crimes? It's certainly not how our legal system works, and we're a fairly just society. If your bible is true, why are we imperfect humans more just than your perfect god?
4) you spat in his face by denying the veracity of the Bible, therefore denying the Gospel.
Pretending for a second that your Gospel is true, then I'd say you spat in Jesus' fact by denying his words and accepting Paul as your key to salvation. Why do you suppose it is that James, the brother of Jesus, as well as Jesus' chief apostle (Peter) opposed Paul? Do you truly think that after three years of telling Peter and James that works were required for salvation and a strict adherence to the Mosaic Law, Jesus would turn around and tell someone he'd never even met before that he'd changed his mind, and now all that was required was to say a simple spell to be saved?
After all, if you don't believe the Bible is true, you probably don't believe the gospel is true either.
Yep, pretty much.
